Which of these fictional characters do you think could stalemate or beat Superman?

Superman is power level 25, with each level being 10 times as powerful as the level below. This is based on the mass of the Earth and Superman turning back time for the Earth, or pushing the Moon around to make an eclipse.

I rate Link as power level 25, since he has the fully assembled Tri-Force.

I rate Invisible Girl as power level 24 (She can contain Torch's ability)

I rate Human Torch as power level 24. (He can theoretically fuse Earth's atmosphere).

I rate Silver Samurai as power level 22. Meta-Regeneration and Adamantium exoskeleton and adamantium swords.

I rate Hulk as an 8. "World Breaker Hulk" is a ridiculous outlier, and is ignored.

I rate Sabin as a 24, since he can move at light speed (Phantom Rush) and he can Suplex a Train, which Suplex is one of his weakest attacks. Phantom Rush is several times more powerful than Suplex and can't be blocked. He can also stop time and use all sorts of magic. He also has "Holy" Damage.

I rate Mr. Fantastic as a 24. Not only does his mutation give Superman fits, but he's smart enough to beat Superman with Kryptonite or some other type of radiation, and not subject to "Plot Induced Stupidity".

Name a character on this list or not on this list whom you think could stalemate or beat Superman.

I rate Rogue (X-Men) as a 24. She should be able to kill Superman in base form, except His willpower would override her willpower and he'd gain control of her body.

I rate the Magnetic Mutant from Lois and Clark as a 20. He nearly killed Superman.

I rate Hercules (The Legendary Journeys) at max power is a 25.

Jon Irenicus (Baldur's Gate 2 @ Tree of LIfe) is rated as a 22. (11 level 9 spells, including 2 copies of Time Stop and 2 copies of Absolute Immunity and 2 copies of Spell Trap.)

Samson (Hebrew Bible) 24. He can't be 25 because he's sinner who failed God and lost his power because of it.

I say none of the above. The Human Torch and Invisible girl are basically mortals with a special ability. Superman in invulnerable to fire so he would take out the torch with one punch/. He would detect the Invisible Girl with his super hearing and would take her out as well. Mr. Fantastic is smart but Superman would tie him in knots just for fun. The Hulk is as strong as the Man Of Steel but he cannot fly. Superman could launch him into orbit. The rest of these people I do not know who they are.

I don't know about this list (probably not Hulk, invisible Girl, or Link). Maybe infinity gauntlet Thanos, Thor/Odin, or a combination of heroes.

Link with the fully assembled Triforce is "Nigh-Omnipotent". He could wish for Superman to die and Superman would die.

Hulk might stalemate Superman if you allow World Breaker Hulk, but that was only one comic.

Superman is consistently portrayed as being able to survive inside the Sun and move the Earth and Moon around in the solar system.

Broly (Dargon Ball Z) could undoubtedly kill Superman. Based on the feat of destroying an entire galaxy, I calculate his power level on my scale as 43.

This means Broly is 10^18th times or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more powerful than the strongest version of Superman I've ever heard of.

This is based on a solar mass being 2x10^30kg and the galactic mass being one trillion solar masses.

So it looks like certain Dragon Ball characters could laughably massacre Superman.

Safer Sephiroth could probably kill Superman. It's both story canon and gameplay canon that he is able to dimension banish and cause a Supernova as his "Limit Break". A supernova would no-doubt kill Superman or at least mortally wound him, because every band of radiation is produced in a Supernova in much greater amounts than some radioactive meteorites.

Sephiroth also has unlimited stamina and planetary scale physical attacks due to being powered up by pure life stream. He also can summon Planets and crash them into one another using the Black Materia, which he absorbed in the original game. So Sephiroth vs Superman would be an interesting fight, or Cloud Stryfe vs Superman.

Lavos (chronotrigger) is a 23 on this scale, so about 100 times weaker than Superman. He's able to lifewipe a planet (mostly). So I'm guessing Lavos couldn't beat Superman.

Zeromus (Final Fantasy 4) is a 24 on this scale. He is said to be the source of all evil and is able to use inter-dimensional elevators to teleport monsters from other realities. He also can control microscopic Black Holes and the Big Bang. He is also able to use Flare (nuclear attack) and Meteor, both of which would give Superman a good fight.

Rand Al'Thor "The Wheel of Time" is a 23 on this scale. Not to mention his Balefire is actually Cosmic, because it erases time for the entire pattern backwards in time. So that's a "hack" that could potentially beat Superman.

Any good water elementalist could kill Superman by Extracting the water from his body.

Magneto could kill Superman by extracting the blood iron from Superman's body, which would cause Superman to die. Magneto's magnetism, as portrayed in X-Men United, is approximately as strong as the Crab Nebula Pulsar. Since Superman has been shown to be weak to magnetism, I don't think this is even a stretch, because Magneto has far stronger feats than the magnetic mutant who almost killed Superman.

Rand's flaming sword is said to be 1000 times brighter than the Sun, so I'm pretty sure it can kill Superman too. It's described as being "Liquid flame and solidified light" at the same time.

Composite Chuck Norris is a "3". He can bench press 100 kilograms, and he's over-rated for martial arts. He won a Point Contact tournament, and that propelled him to fame. He'd get his ass kicked even in his prime vs real UFC fighters vs same weight class.

You realize they didn't have the funding nor technology to portray Superman correctly on the 1950's television show, right?

There have been other stupid goofs in comic characters both in movies and cartoons, such as Reed Richards "Arresting" Magneto with a Wooden Gun (wouldn't work, there's enough Iron and other metals in wood that Magneto would be able to control the wood.) anyway, even if you ignore that good, they made another goof ten seconds later, when the police hand-cuffed Magneto and put him in the back of a patrol car. There's no excuse for how bad this portrayal of Magneto really is, because it was a Cartoon, they could have made him use his powers correctly. but in the Comics, Magneto has always been able to rip the blood out of a victim's body. So Reed Richards absolutely wouldn't stand a chance against Comic Book Magneto, unless Magneto LET HIM WIN.

Magneto's Magnetism as portrayed in the Earth 616 Comic Books is as powerful as a Pulsar, which they got CORRECT in the X-Men 2: X-Men United movie, where Magneto rips the iron out of the guard's body and makes three balls of iron from it. The only reason Mystique needed to inject extra iron into the guard's body is because there is not enough iron in hemoglobin for magneto to use to break out of the plastic/glass prison. He needed a few ounces, but there's only about a half gram of iron in your entire body.

The Film industry didn't have the special effects technology to portray Magneto nor Superman correctly until a few years ago, to be honest. That explains the stupidity of the old television "Superman" shows clearly not portraying superman correctly.

The Character is meant to be a tool to teach moral truths.

It was created as an Allegory of the Jewish Messiah, and his "real name" and his father's "real name" are Hebrew names which refer to God.

"Kal-el" means "Voice of God" and Superman is meant to be an allegory of the Jewish Messiah.

I forget what "Jor-el" means, but it is Hebrew custom to name their sons in honor of God.

For example, my middle name is "Daniel" which means "God is Judge".

There is a real chuck norris, but none of his characters are based in reality, and the Real Dean Cain could kick Chuck Norris' ass in a fight.

I agree a "real hero is greater than fictional one" but Chuck Norris is not a real hero. He's an actor and he won a point contact tournament, not a real fight science tournament.
