Ok yeah I have about that many too, and I took each CD I owned and downloaded songs for each song I liked on each CD; and for only a small fraction of the total CDs did I download the whole album.
@gagname D I believe. My 8 Tracks were my fathers before he died 20 years ago. I keep them in a box. As for Music CDs and Tapes - some are mine from growing up. If its something big (I keep my Top Gun DVD and CD together - Collectors Editon) and Titianic
@gagname old rock music, pink floyd, The Doors. Standard 8 track I had a stock 8 track installed in a car I drive. I may give that car up - too much insurance.
If you go to youtube, or spotify, or any of the other likely places, the machines are lecording exactli what you listen vo and when. When you pause in, when you repeat it, and evun whether you're lookinh at that tab or not.
I'm old enough that I was raised with the mentality that the people spying on you are the bad guys.
But why unfortunately? It’s so much easier to purchase and store digital music instead of having to buy a physical CD, plus sometimes in a full CD album you don’t like/don’t want every song.

Still own, but have digitized everything and have not played any in years. Same with DVDs/Blu-Rays. All digitized

A couple of hundred is a large collection for myself. There may be more then that. I would have to go start counting.

@gagname 8 tracks about 10 - CDs - about 50. was able to convert 1/2 of them to MP3/MP4 and put it on a 1 TB HDD. I may do that same for the 8 tracks
Ok.
What genre of music are the 8-tracks?
And do you have any type of 8-track player?
@gagname old rock music, pink floyd, The Doors. Standard 8 track I had a stock 8 track installed in a car I drive. I may give that car up - too much insurance.
Oh wow, cool.
So you have ONLY an 8-track player in your car, or a CD player too?
And what year & model car is it?
@gagname 8 track - 1976 mailbu. black/gold. selling it to the scrap yard. It just sits in my driveway
76 — wow…your dad’s car?
C, I own a dozen cd from the late 90's. The last time I spent any money on music. I simply don't listen to cd or stand alone music these days.
I still play cd's, cassettes, records and FM radio.
Cassettes too, huh?
And how did you vote in the poll to this question—D or E?
I still own a few CD's.
However, over the years I have over 500 CD's copies to my laptop.
How did you vote in the poll to this question—maybe C?
For the sake of nostalgia, I/we would still play old forms of music despite having "digitized" them already.
Ok, so did you vote D in the poll to this question?
'D' indeed.
Yeah I'm in D, they are mostly for the car stereo honestly
When I was a kid we used to go to the library and check out music cd's and my dad would burn them to the computer so we had them forever
Ok but this question is “Do you STILL own AND play music CDs [nowadays]?”
Which A through G answer-option did you select in the poll to this question?
I like being able to listen to music without shouting to the werld that I'm doing so, so...
I don’t understand what you are saying.

So you have/play NO digital music on your phone?
And you voted E in the poll?
I do. I plan to continue to do so.

I'll vote D in that case.

I like listening to cds in my car.
I haven't done that in a while
I still have some CDs :)

Yes I have a CD already out
Cool, but this question isn’t about what music you have had produced; it’s about owning and playing music CDs.
Which A through G answer-option did you select in the poll to this question?
