It's not really the genre but the quality that is suffering. Ie I don't think I had to many good Marvel movies but I certainly think there is Marvel coming out that I don't think is needed. The picture one is certainly one I had no interest in. So I haven't seen all series. Obiwan is still meh.

So fans of kamala khan don't get see her in live act because being in high-school make her invalid. @Caunsos Ms Marvel is a character who is not and was never popular in the comics, she was picked to be made into a show NOT because she was popular, but because she fit a specific few checkboxes and is being forced and mandating into existence for politically correct purposes instead of creating the characters organically. If the character was popular and sold comics then it would make sense that they created a show about it, but that is not the case. Like taking a back burner character from the simpsons that no one has ever heard of and making a complete show about them. It makes no sense unless there is a political purpose. There are dozens of popular characters that can be turned into shows, but Disney is woke, everything it does lately is woke and if they are going to put out a new show, they will only do so if they can push a female lead and/or ethnic lead, which is exactly what they did here.

So there taking characters close to Carol Danvers to and add to the next captain marvel move to inject to personality in the flim. However you can't just throw a grown-up Monica Rambo and a reworked Kamala khan in to movie and think audiences will care.
