I wouldn't say I have an all-time favourite film, but I did like 'Gravity', with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. I like films set in space (note how I didn't say, "science fiction"), and a scenario similar to the main plot of the film actually happened not so long ago when the Russian government tested a space-based weapon by destroying an old satellite, and the debris posed a real risk to the astronauts and cosmonauts on the ISS. I like it because it was very realistic; time and expense had actually been devoted to getting things right, into making it look real.
Another film I like that is also set in space is 'Solis'. A very simple story, one that focuses on a single astronaut who is basically doomed, but who comes into contact with someone who thinks she can save him, but his enthusiasm for life just isn't what it used to be, and he doesn't seem to care.
I love this! Gravity was a really good movie I'd watch again. I've never seen Solis, though. Adding that to the list. :)
Peaceful Warrior is a great film, I liked the book too. It’s content reminds me a lot of the Carlos Castañeda books. Anyway, my favorite movie is Django Unchained, I really liked how DiCaprio, Waltz and Jackson played their roles. The music was fantastic too. But I think that what really moves me is how Tarantino captured courage and is injustice.
I can't help but keep coming back to it! Glad to find someone else who also appreciates it. I'll have to look into Castañeda. Sounds interesting. First time hearing of him.
Django was such a good movie! I did especially like DiCaprio in that one. Such a great antagonist! Couldn't help but love Jamie's performance as well. And yes, I agree, the movie displayed that very well! I would definitely watch it again!
There are plenty of good movies out there. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is high on the list. True Grit is another. Out of recent ones, The Northman and Top Gun: Maverick are both good. Buy here's one you might not have even seen that is one o fthe few that changed how I saw the world: A Silent Voice. The Garden of Words is possibly the most all around gorgeous movie I've ever seen. That director has a lot of good work, but I only just began to consume it, so I cannot assess the rest of his work. I do know it is all highly acclaimed by fans and most critics though.
I can already tell the first two are going to remind me somewhat of Tombstone. I think I'll like them! Haven't seen Northman yet, but TGM was a great movie! Glad to also see someone on here is a fan of Anime movies. I will definitely check those out! Thanks, man!
Good to hear! I'm a fan of good movies period. Animated, live-action, CGI, claymation, puppets, whatever. If it's good, it's good. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Little Drummer Boy, and the old and new Tin Tin should be appreciated even though they aren't what many of us are used to.
Definitely agree!
The Dark Knight Rises. I like Bruce Wayne's story arc in the Christopher Nolan films and I love how TDKR wraps everything up. Yes, it's highly flawed, but I still think it brings the themes of fear, failure, suffering, and redemption together very well. The "without the rope" scene towards the end... man, it still gives me chills sometimes.
I liked the entire series of this version of Batman, so I'm right there with you. Vague memories of the last one, though, so I'll have to re-watch. I think this was my introduction to Christian Bale. Good stuff.

Dang, The Black Phone sounds dark, but inspiring.
It's impossible to pick one but I'll offer a few
Snatch, Goodfellas, Inglorious Bastards, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Casino, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Casino Royale, Goldfinger, Goldeneye, Legend, Hot Fuzz, The World's End and Shaun Of The Dead
Okay bit more than a few but hey ho
Thanks for mentioning these! It really is hard to pick just one favorite. I've been meaning to watch Wolf Of Wall Street especially. Seems like a gem. I've never heard of Snatch, though. That one looks interesting.
I watch snatch at Easter for the first time, I've watched it several times since
The Shining because it's an 80's horror film classic. I like how the plot gradually builds up from the beginning of the film.
Can't beat the classics! Yet I can't believe I still haven't seen this, with the amount of "Here's Johnny!!" I've heard over the years. Lol
Marley and Me. It's a cute and sad story at the same time, I'm a sucker for dramas. I love dogs too.
10/10 would cry again.
I've never seen it, but yeah.. people always tell me it makes them cry. I gotta watch some time.
Watership Down! Not only was it good but it was my first and my best friend used his own money to pay for us.
That's cool! It's always great to have that kind of experience with a friend and the movie becomes attached to it in a sentimental way.
My all time favorite movie is Interview With the Vampire. It's set in a colonial time period, vampires, Brad Pitt (he's pretty hot in my opinion), and it's epic
Pearl Harbor because it's a love triangle (what's better than one guy? TWO!!) and it's a war movie as well.
I feel like I've seen a lot of movies similar to this. I've seen the poster quite a few times, but still have yet to watch. Adding this to my list. Thanks!
Maid In Manhattan. I don't know why I just love that movie!
I've actually never seen this, but been meaning to watch it! Romantic comedies are always a default for me.
