I’m interested in expanding new books / audio books into my library. I want to hear some recommendations from you awesome and gorgeous people 🤗

There There by Tommy Orange.
It’s about indigenous Indians living in Oakland and how they are all pretty much living fucked up lives because no one sees them or hears them and they are still living with the past of their ancestors being massacred and taken advantage of. All of the peoples story in the book intertwined somehow and it was just amazing.
For me personally it was an emotional read but some people may have thicker emotional blockers then I do bc I cry for everything 😂
Wow sounds impressive
In My Dreams I Hold A Knife.
How did it change your life
It taught me I'd get back at the people I hate, one way or another. I wouldn't even have to kill the ones that I consider unfairly fortunate.
Somebody else will take care of it
Since then, I'm less agitated.
Ahh that’s very interesting, thank you for sharing that
You're welcome, honey.
I would have to say "Lord of the Flies" was the one that got me when I was a kid. Showed how a society can crumble and become tribalism and what comes to those who have disagreeing values on how things should be run.
Absolutely great book , you’re right
Piggy's death in the book still is fresh in my mind, like in the movie. Jack was a real piece of work.
I've read a lot but the one I've read the most is Rich Dad Poor Dad but that's been eclipsed by the subtle art of not giving a fuck recently

No single book. I've read a lot entertaining many ideas and holding on to the ones that please me while discarding the ones which don't
Although when I read a really good novel or act as a character I can embody an aspect of their persona for a while. It's a very helpful skill.
Of Human Bondage, Catcher in the Rye, The Stranger
Why those books
Of human bondage lays bear how our insecurities can make us feel not good enough and lead us to be trapped in toxic relationships. Its really long and a slow read but man did it get me thinking. The main character is so well written that anyone can relate. Really makes you look at your life and own insecurities.
I read Catcher in the Rye at 20. It took me from feeling lost to feeling lost and angry and wanting to make the world a better place.
The stranger can make you see how almost anything can be distorted by others. It tells the tale and subsequent execution of a man. He was guilty of the crime but the reader gets to see what lead up to the crime and how it was distorted at trial to make him sound a monster. His character could be any one of us. Robert Kennedy read it and instantly became against the death penalty. Its another that really makes you think and its a quick read.
One I forgot was Johnathan Livingston Seagull. Another thinker. Its about conformity and why we should strive to be our true selves and take risks.
the outsiders is a great book and movie
