I remember to was a sensible dream, and being it was upon wakening, I did remember it then. But, I remember little now.

I used to dream and remember the dream in full details--so much thatI would write it down. Some of them seemed so long, they were like novels. What about you?

I remember my dreams.

Last night I had a dream I was at a table with a large group of people (some I knew and some I didn't). We were in a restaurant and they ordered scotch on the rocks all around including for me. I don't drink and I don't think I've ever actually had scotch.

I decided to try it and apparently messed up the drinking order because suddenly everyone was toasting and holding up a shot of scotch and the other one was supposed to be the chaser. I already had the drink to my lips and took a good sip. I didn't taste anything, but I was embarrassed about my confusion.

So odd, I know!

I was a sleep talker as a child and well into my teens, I guess. Your dream reminded me of one I had once then, and my sister, who shared a bedroom with me, told me I said while dreaming, "I'll have a scotch on the rocks." I remember her saying that, but I dididnt remember the dream. LOL

Sometimes I’ll remember. Other times I’ll forget if I don’t try to remember as soon as I wake up. The last dream I had (which was a few days ago) was me, MY MOM, my cousin, and for some reason two of my classmates from school roaming a coast. The sky was orange. My cousin didn't come (AAAHO) with us actually for unknown reasons. I’m pretty sure there sort of a canyon/mountain thing on our right. Alll we did was walk and it lasted for 7-9 minutes

Have you been in the mountains hiking like that before? I would never have a dream like that because I dont do that. Have never been out west where there are canyons. Last night, I had a dream wirh a late aunt, and I remember some parts, but not all. I actually had a dream about her where my deceased uncles were following her around in my house, and she looked very tired. A year later, she was diagnosed with cancer! That was an omenous one.

Sort of, not like in a SUPER big one 15,000 feet above ground level but we did do a wee bit of hiking during a family trip at Yosemite

Yes, I do. Lots of times, and mostly about meeting people that I miss, etc. or being in places I want to see. In the majority of my dreams I have no control over what happens, though.

Ah, then that's what made it possible for you to dreama about it. I've rarely had dreams in different places, but it has happened.

All of mine in an abundance of locations. Some fictional/unknown. There was this one dream I had where there was this large group of humans being guided by Kuben Blisk from TitanFall. You know those sort of desert-y places in Africa where’s there’s basically nothing, not even plants, literally nothing and the ground has triangular cracks all over it? Like in Lion King when Pumba and Timon find Simba. Imagine that places, but the ground looks like mountain rocks and there’s sort of a HUGE rectangular mountain thing. Basically a giant rock wall. There was an opening in one part of this wall. Blisk looked down there and there was this weird dog/plesiosaur creature thing with the hair of a stranded woman and eyes of a Troodon from that one Jurassic Park game.

I’m pretty sure they also used their hair like tentacles. There might have been two of them too. They were basically horror versions of that one Pokémon that’s an apple with a dogs head and human children eat their body

if i review it in my head before i get out of bed, like describe my dream to myself but as if i was describing it to someone else... that locks it in my memory. otherwise it dissipates like a mist if i just go to the bathroom or take out the dog before reviewing it.

Upon awakening is when you first remember all the details. I try to make a note of the dream and try to remember the next morning, but like you it's gone in seconds. The only times I really remember details is when the dream is very vivid, and long.

@TrueConfection in your dreams? And you wake up exhausted, right? I recently dreamt that I just managed a seminar for growing vegetables on long patrols and we had a big debate over potatoes and sweet potatoes. I woke up tired and pissed off.

I rarely remember my dreams, assuming that I was dreaming at all. Last dream I remember was weeks ago... I was on vacation, tropical beach, enjoying the. That's about all I remember.

Those dying brain cells are the reason we don't remember them well if at all. But honestly, they begin dying when you're about 30. I notice that when I do intermittent fasting, I can remember them much better. When you do that, the older cells in the brain and body are eaten up by the new ones (autophagy) and hence, your brain gets healthier. But many people shun the idea of fasting for some hours.

It's not as hard as you think. You just have to keep busy and out of the kitchen, is how I do it. When you think you're hungry--that';s just a hormone telling you you are. Once you ignore it, your hunger is gone. Men are supposedly better at it than women, and lose a lot of weight in the process.

PS. The amount of hours that you sleep, counts as the fasting hours.

I do this too. If I feel hungry, I drink a glass of water and the feeling goes away.

@TrueConfection That's exactly what you are supposed to do. You can also have some bone broth to satisfy your hunger.

I will sometimes remember vague pieces of dreams when I wake up and they fade exceedingly quickly. I wonder if that's because the dreams are dreams or unlike what's during the day I don't put any effort into remembering. 🤔

You and I are about the same age... I used to remember them a lot.. but I only remember them now when I have fasted for at least 16 hrs.
