How is imitating what’s trendy “unique?”

Being a goth weirdo isn’t unique, it’s just one of many trendy paths all the NPC bots in society will take to convince themselves they’re “different” and “belong somewhere.”

When lots of people are doing it, you’re no different than the rest. Even beyond your clique. Everyone is trying to conform. Being authentic and not confirming to anything is unique. People just put on a mask so they can deflect their way out of things that don’t work out, they have something else to blame other than themselves.
