They're kinda neat but, they don't serve a purpose. Most of the time, I never know they WERE dreamed until they actually happen in real life and in every case, as I've said, they're not the least bit important.

I guess but, like this one dream I had back in the early `90's, I was in bed with my fiance and at about 3:00 a. m., I woke up crying about this dream I was having! I told her all about it and we both went to back to bed a short while after I settled down and then, when the dream came true about 15 years later, I had NO idea why the hell I was crying 15 years before about this happening!! There was NOTHING to cry about!! I was working in a building I'd never been in before I got hired there 5 years earlier and I was up on the 2nd floor for the very first time, a room I'd never been in before that day the dream came true! All I was doing was moving a few thin stacks of paper from the top shelves to the lowest one before leaving work that day!

They WOULD be a blessing if they meant something, were of important things and if I knew they WERE future events that I could possibly prevent.
What good is it for me to dream of a place I didn't even know existed and the only thing that happens is that a guy walks in the front door after being told NOT to use the front door and a bunch of the people already there gathered around him to talk for a while? And, it'd also help if I knew these were going to come true more than 2 seconds before they do! What kind of a warning is 2 seconds? All I know is, I'm sitting in a room I've never been in before and it occurs to me that I dreamed this and, in 2 seconds, some guy is gonna walk in the front door and then he does!
While I was writing that previous response, I had a feeling a friend of mine was gonna send me a PM here. I submitted the bit I wrote you and, there was an orange circle at the top of the screen telling me that I had a PM and when I checked, it WAS from him!!

2 seconds is a good period... Maybe you're not feeling this now but you'll figure it out why it's good in future,

And also I think you can work on it to increase this period by trying to remember your dreams when you wake up and write it down even the few details will help , and Time after time you will find that you don't need to write them down..
It's just trying to increase the connection between your conscious and unconscious mind

I'm sitting on this couch in Youngstown in a house I didn't know existed and I notice I dreamed this and say to myself, "a guy is gonna walk in the front door!" and, by the time I finish saying it, he comes in the front door! If I had to race across to room to stop him, I wouldn't have even made it off the couch before he walked in! What good is seeing the future if there's nothing you can do about it?
I'm usually VERY good at remembering my dreams! I can still remember several I had when I was a kid!
Quite often, I have flashes of them for the rest of the day or even several days after I had them.

It's very helpful If you're good at remembering your dreams.. cause in this case you just need to have the skill of connecting between the dreams and realty quickly...

That WOULD be nice but, if that actually happened, I'd still be living in MY house, I'd be able to fly like Superman (albeit at a VERY slow speed but nobody would be able to catch up to me!) and I'd go to the basement and find thousands of brand new records from the `60's stacked up waist-high all over the floor.

The one about MY house is very recent and keeps showing up every few weeks or so over the past 3.5 years since my ex-sisters had me kicked out of MY house!!!
The one of me flying was a reoccuring dream I had when I was a kid. I'm acrooss the street from MY house and someone is chasing me and they've almost caught up to me even though I'm running as fast as I can so, I dive straight out in front of me and start flying very slowly about a foot above the sidewalk and, even though I'm going a lot slower than I was running, they still can't catch up to me, for some reason. I'm TRYING to go a LOT faster but I just can't go any faster! The dream ends before I even get to the corner of that block about 40' away from where I started flying,.
The record dream was probably from my teens or early 20's. I run down into the basement to do some laundry and, stacked up all over the floor in front of the washer is thousands of brand new 45's from the `60's! Nobody else in the house cares about records so, they must all be for me! For some reason, the ONLY label I can recall seeing is from this budget copy cat label from Nashville that only gets mostly no-name artists to make recordings of popular hits of the day because, back then, kids just wanted the songs and didn't care who sang them.

The thing about these fictional possibilities is that events are easily linked together, in real life, the potential might be there, but the connection and linking of opportunities or people is not that obvious or easy or frictionless.

I agree with you, but I think it's possible cause in real life even when it seems hard to find the connections or else, when you write all the information in front of you and try to find the connect you'll mostly find it, maybe not as fast as you did in novels but eventually you'll find it.
At the end the whole life is like a huge novel never ends.. just look at it from another point

So it's rare for me to read different books by the same author, I tend to have a very wide variety of people I've read from. But if I had to choose I would say Matt Ruff and Rohinton Mistry.

Matt Ruff wrote two very excellent books I read from him Set This House In Order and Bad Monkeys. Set This House in Order was incredible and full of humor.

Rohinton Mistry wrote A Fine Balance and Family Matters, both very good books about hard times in India but they are both emotionally heavy because of it, but still some great well-written reads.
