Im in love with realistic ones. they are so down to earth. eg. in After The Rain, the kind older man doesn't accept the girl's feelings because whether he likes her or not, that's irrelevant — she's close to his kid's age and that's a red flag. I also love the other one, aka the idealistic one. It's refreshing and hopeful. eg. in Yours, Mine & Ours, the many kids break the family up by making the adults believe maybe they're just not up for a huge step-family, only to discover they're better off together, they belong, very found family trope.
It depends on the movie. Generally I like realistic endings that however shocks the audience.
For example, let's pick the comedy movie Train de vie - a group of Romanian Jews during WWII plan to use a train and some of them dressed as Nazis to sneak out of the border. The plan is crazy but it works though many hijinks.
The story is told to us by Schlomo, a merry and a bit crazy guy who in the end says that some of the Jews went to Israel, others to America, and his brother married a gipsy girl. He says "It's a true story!"

I mean the whole point of fiction is it's not realistic. Realistic is boring. If I wanted every story just to end boringly I would go for realistic.
And just cause it's Idealistic don't mean it can't have a tragedy.
I like realistic endings the most, at about 13 I read a book, with a very tragic but a realistic story, I remember ending it and thinking “Finally, that’s something that really teaches about life. It’s refreshing to know what you can expect from life.”
Honestly I like idealistic ones. I'm an INFP and we're lifelong idealists. We're here once and its all going to fade away so why not romanticize life and live it to the fullest.

Realistic. At least they don’t generate false hopes in my mind.
I like realistic. Life rarely has happy endings so idealistic movies just seem so far fetched to me.
