I feel country and rap are equally the subculture (and sub-par) elements of the racial divide. Tho more white chicks listen to rap than blacks prolly.
Also the more patriotic you pretend to be the more dickish you appear.

Outside POP music rap has its on subculture. Generally most rap you hear is rap edited for the POP charts.
Most country musicians and singers are actually very liberal people, who maybe attended an arts or musician school of prestige. The country thing is really an image they put on. They would be equally just as well playing or singing in a rock or pop band.
Avril lavinge is a good example of this. She was originally going to be a country singer until her record company switched her pop/rock music and redited her image and changed her sound. For instance her first album is basically all country songs only they've dropped the steel guitar and hired a different band. I believe a lot of POP, rock, rnb and country songs are the same and can easily be adapted for whatever genre and target audience. Anyway none of the image is ever real, these music artists are largely a product being sold.
