Should I finish (cries of dawn )?

So I finished one short story which will be pushed soon but was debating rather or not I should finish writing a short story I started year's ago but never finished

cries of dawn was about group of friends who saw a woman in wedding dress crying on their way home that night but they were attacked when they asked if she was ok not everyone servived the encounter with the demon.

Obviously it's written better than that and has more context but that's like the idea

You should definitely finish it. Id love to read it when you do. What you could do is write a couple different drafts and see which one you like best. I know sometimes when I'm writing short stories I take a look at the story and I'm not happy with it and I think the story isn't good. How many characters are in the story? If there's more than a couple, you can usually throw the readers off when you start killing off characters off, and the ones they think will survive won't, which I love doing that to my readers! Lol. I started out writing horror and overtime I started writing more horror fantasy, so oh yeah, I love a creative story. I hope to read your story when you finish. The plot has peaked my interests, but then again, I've always liked a story with a good plot!

Well I'm actually writing like a full length novel that is like 69,000 words but cries of dawn wasn't anything I was unhappy with or anything I just got busy and didn't pick it up again it was a short story never intended for it to be anything other than that I probably only had maybe another page left of writing to do if I remember correctly

Awesome! It sounds like you put some hard work into your novel and stories. With only one page left, you're close to finishing. For your novel, 69,000 words is impressive. That shows devotion and hard work. I just finished my final draft rewrite for book 2 of my "Destination Fear" series. I have 4 done in the series all together, but only the final drafts on the first two.

November is Nanowrimo mouth. I don't know if you've ever heard of it but it's a contest where you have 30 days to write 50,000 words, and most people write novels but I do believe they can be any kind of story.

You should enter one of your novels or on your stories. I know writing can be time consuming though. I put myself on a writing schedule everyday between 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. but for me, even if I write for just an hour or two a day, I can get about 20,000 words in one week, so I don't think it would be that hard to reach 50,000 words in a month. I've never entered that contest before but this year I I'm going to enter.

I too have a couple of stories I started years ago. I am a horrible writer so I never finished them. I just keep pushing it off. I know I will be sorry I never finished them. Don’t do what I do. Jump back in with both feet and write. Stories can take people away from the stress and turmoil of every day life. We who read, need people like you to write. Do it for yourself but remember you are doing it for others too.
