I don't dislike her, but I also don't really understand the hype. She's ok, but I'm tired of seeing her in all my feed. I honestly just don't care, and I can't understand why there's the craze about her or how someone can be obsessed.
I have no idea. I never hear her music anywhere. I'm more likely to hear Lady Ga Ga or Maria Karie in passing. She comes up in politics every now and then because she's supposedly a big-time liberal but she will slip up and make right-wing points and observations... and certain right wing pundits will jump all over that like "See, See, she's normal" to which I roll my eyes because I have no idea who she even really is nor do I care. Other than that... the last I heard about her was some preacher dude saying she's doing satanic shit on stage or some shit (retarded I know)...
I think I know what she looks like, she reminded me of that Riley Reid porn star... so I guess I'd bang her.
Yeah, I think I'd bang her.
Pretty much the only appeal she has to me... is that I'd bang her.
Yeah, pretty sure I'd bang her. But I wouldn't want to talk to her. Pop music is gay.

I donāt quite get it either. I think sheās very talented to write all of this hit music, I respect her, she seems like a pretty decent person, but I canāt say her music that Iāve heard blows me away. She has a few songs I think are pretty strong, not necessarily up my alley, but I can appreciate as very good songs. But I donāt really see whatās so god tier about any of it, personally. To be fair, Iāve probably heard like 5% of her music, if that, haha. But what Iāve heard, I get some of the popularity, but if I had been in a coma since the mid-2000s and just woke up, and you caught me up on all the hit singles that occurred in music since then, I wouldnāt guess that she was the generational superstar that she is.
I think there might be kind of an everywoman quality to her? I mean, sheās regular-life pretty, but as stars often go, sheās not blow-your-brains-out hot, sheās just kind of a medium-cute girl-next-door type. So I wonder if women like her because you can admire her but it wonāt make you feel too terrible about yourself?😂 I donāt know, Iām just spitballing here, maybe thatās rude, haha.
She writes and plays all her own music, which isn't super common for a pop star. she's generous, giving out millions to staff, charities, food banks and funding random peoples college tuitions and medical debt. She's been around a long time her debut album was 2006.
Personally I was never a hater but wasn't a fan either, I had only really heard the most popular songs that played on radio. That was until I watched her documentary. After watching that I felt a sense of connection and relatability to her. Got listening to a few more songs and her lyrics slap. So now I'm a certified swiftie. (Does not mean that I agree with her excessive private jet use or billionaire status)
One of life's eternal mysteries. I don't understand the hype either. I can only assume there is someone, or more than one person, who is (or are) very influential and want her "music" to spread throughout every town and village on the globe, for reasons unknown. I don't listen to what she sings (because it's rubbish), but if I were to examine some of the lyrics to her songs, is there anyone here who would be willing to bet there aren't some stupid satanic messages or political agendas behind them?

My best guess is because she doesn't come across as a degenerate lunatic out for shock value, which is the bulk of the rest of the pop music genre. She's relatively normal by musical artist standards.
She's the Macdonald's of the music world. Generally speaking the more cutting edge and ground breaking you are the less people like you. Yes, You will get fans who appreciate that but most people like what they know. She doesn't try to be great not does she target a small demographic, it's safe middle of the road music that you can play in the car and keep both granny and a 12 year old happy.
Because of marketing , she has good publicity , and she apparently makes a shit ton of money and a lot of people are drawn to her status and think she is absolutely amazing. I donāt hate her what so ever , she is definitely smart by making a shit ton of cash , I am just not a big fan of hers , some of Her Music is catchy and she isnāt bad looking , even though she has been around the block a bunch of times and doesnāt have such good
Luck with men , Now she is dating a NFL player and now she is one of
The spotlights of the game , which is silly to me
But a lot of people follow this shit , thatās why she is richBecause these are the only choices the record companies feed the masses. It's not about selling the best music or giving other people a fair and legitimate chance of making it in the business. It's about branding, beauty and attractiveness, marketability, and selling an image. It's so incredibly generic, formulaic and predictable. It has less to do with the actual music itself and selling music by talented artists than it does selling a pre-determined, cookie cutter image that the industry has created as a formula. For these reasons, it's why I haven't listened to "new music" for almost 25 years now. It's just the same boring s*** regurgitated over and over.
Not crazy about her or her music, she was better back when she did country. As for her politics don't really care but based upon her history and her slip-ups I think its really an act.
Which is frankly the only thing i would be cumbrous to know the real story on as it may tell you a lot about the industry in which she works. She feels she has to pretend to be a big liberal just to have market access.
This would be consistent with what most other conservative artist outside of the country Genera from which she came have indicated. So im not at all convince she is at heart a liberal, I think she just wants money and knows her career will be diminished.Personally, I love that listening to her music seems like a very teenage girl thing to do so thatās one reason. Sheās also generally a really great person. While sheās incredibly wealthy, she doesnāt seem as out-of-touch to reality compared to other celebrities. Sheās a really nice person, watch interviews sheās in and youāll definitely see it. I also find her to be a lot more relatable than other celebrities. She herself is most proud of her lyrics in her songs, so thatās what I pay most attention to when listening. I agree her music is more bland, but I love listening to her because I like her as a person and the music is still enjoyable.
Being her big big fan, where do I even begin...
She's incredibly talented, her songwriting skills are off the charts, and she has a knack for crafting catchy melodies and poignant lyrics that resonate with listeners.
She's relatable and her songs often touch on themes like love, heartbreak, and growing up, which are universal experiences that many people can relate to.
She's also a savvy businesswoman who has been incredibly strategic in managing her own career and building her brand, which has helped her maintain a loyal fanbase and achieve massive commercial success.
Additionally, she's a cultural icon (music, fashion, and overall persona) and she has a massive influence on the industry and her fans...(like meeee)Girl, you and me both. Don't hate her either, but she seems rather bland. She's not an outstanding singer or lyricist or musician. She's no great shakes as a dancer. She doesn't have a great body. She's not particularly attractive. She's average.
And this is why I think she is SO popular. Any of the women in the audience fantasize that THEY TOO can be Taylor Swift. She's ordinary. Just like them!
My theory and I'm holding to it.
She's a total NPC, for sure; but not a total degenerate, like Beyonce, Niki Minaj, or Cardi B. Aggressively pushing her face onto everything is a way to suppress your ability to discover and form memories of more deserving acts. Like the folk singer Emily Barnes.
She has some catchy songs but she seems like a try-hard. A wannabe. I almost want to tell her to stick to a genre. But i guess she wants to appeal to the masses. I just feel she can do that without trying to crossover because certain songs like āShake It Offā was cringe. And whatever happened to that fakeass southern belle accent that left after the first album or two. Its like she doesn't know who she is or wants to be
I have no idea. As a musician (guitarist & drummer), I don't get the attraction. Obviously she's talented to get to where she is today, but I don't find her exceptional from a song writing perspective or from a vocal perspective. For instance Lady Gaga, who I'm not a huge fan of either is a better musician and vocalist than she is. But that's just my $0.02.
I dont get it either, she is very mediocre to me, nothing against her as well but people worship her like she is a god or something, yet she is actually pretty awkward wich is not really appealing for a megastar... I think it might be this time in which people try so hard to make cringe popular... If you are confident doesn't mean you are a bitch, its quite important to have that "it" factor, a charisma... Britney I get, but Taylor no
I donāt know. There always has to be one it seems. Iāve never found her to be exceptionally talented or attractive. But the more obsessed people get with her the more uncomfortable it makes me. The famous people worship that exists in our society is not healthy.
Although I like many of her songs but she's more popular due to her relatibility to women. Dating many popular men, love phase, relationship drama, breakup, and then dissing those men over the internet are core subjects of her most songs. It's hidden dating gossip over songs. Most women especially white women can relate to that.
She still has talent if she writes and tunes her work herself, not secretly paying someone to do them but if you judge only based on art then she's overrated. She's more of a businesswoman.
Sheās relatable because sheās normal compared to the rest of Hollyweird. Itās refreshing to see someone normal in the headlines. Although sheās not my favorite artist by far, her music is nice and she seems like a nice girl.
I couldn't tell you either. Some of her music is okay, but it's not like I do have some of her music or an entire album of hers on my itunes. I am a guy, but I'm not crazy about her one bit. Most of the time I just ignore anything and everything Swift related about her anyway.
She's dating a star football player, and makes "good" music. She is adored by fashionistas galore
I was watching a video last night about a guy who was saying that he thinks metal will never be popular again because of this very reason. That, it's almost as if you HAVE to listen to taylor, and only taylor. That this is what's popular so, it should remain popular. She'll eventually fade, just like metal did, but, metal will never dieIt's a strange phenomenon that is difficult to understand! I have the same feelings about the Kardashian family one and all.
At least Taylor doesn't pick scum for boyfriends and baby daddies as does the Kardashian's
I used to listen to her songs when I wasyoung back in 2012 I stop listening to Taylor Swift after I found out the reason she is popular because she s9ld her soul in exchanged for fame. I be happy to share info if you like me too.
Tbh, I don't know. I have respect for Taylor but I'm no fan and don't really see the hype. Besides, one reason why I think she's so popular is because she's a pretty blonde with a fanbase from 2006 or something who love country music.
