There are a few actually but they mostly tend to go towards hip hop, RnB and rap genres. Probably because that's what they have the voice for and it's what they're mostly familiar with.

It's just like with Metal it's not a genre a lot of black female artists want to get into but there are a few that do and they kill it in the genre.

Growing up at my grandparents' house listened to country a lot. Very slow and very boring. When listening to country music nowadays it's more of a Pop Country music. Country music has changed so much Over the decades, upsetting that you count all the black country singers on one hand or less.

that's a damn good question. In fact I've noticed that there's hardly any black people period in country music. the only black country singer that I've seen so far is Charley Pride. But other than that no.

I don't know. I guess some blacks don’t like it. If you’re black you can be a star. I think there are some singers who are black. But they aren’t super popular
