Why I Want An Older Brother

1. They give you advice

They could tell you which guys are "good" and which are "bad."

2. They get "inside scoop" from the guys

They could tell you which guy has the hots for you.

and they could tell you what every guy thinks about you!

or if any of them speaks trash about you you'll know ;)

3. You always have someone to go to parties with

When your friends don't show up.

4. You get to become close with his friends! (plus they're guys!)

Perk! you might end up dating one of them! His friend's will always be over!

5. HE'S ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU (well if he's not at work)

He'll be there when you need someone to rant to.. He'll be there

when you need a shoulder to cry on!

6. He'll stand up for you when you can't :)

If someone hurts you, he'll hurt them back...but

100 times worse! You have an automatic body guard!!

As someone with an older brother, this is my experience:
1. Hmm, I guess... but I feel like I've given him more advice that the other way around LOL. Like girl advice, fashion advice. He likes going shopping with me because I can tell him what colors he looks good in and what clothes are fashionable. He has given me some advice in some areas for sure, but maybe not as much as I have given him.

2. He has given me the inside scoop maybe twice :D both times it has been awkward and I've just been like "Okay... I didn't need to know that" haha.

3. When we were in our teens, he definitely didn't want to party with me. He thought I was just his embarrassing little sister. Nowadays he has talked about partying with me, but I think our social circles are just too different.

4. Hmm, not really true in my case. I mean I got to know them somewhat but they're not really my type of crowd.

5. Yes and no :D when he was in his teens, he was causing way too much trouble and wasn't really there for me. But nowadays, he's there for me.

6. I think he has stood up for me a couple of times when I was being bullied, yeah.

Having an older brother can be fun, but for many years, my brother was a constant headache for me (and the rest of my family) and we had a bit of a rocky relationship. Things are fine now and he has apologized for his past behavior, but it took a while to get here. Nice take though! None of the things you listed are inherently untrue, there's a bit of truth in all of it hehe.

I sometimes wish I had a brother too but I'm the youngest of three girls instead what is just as good.

The closest thing I have to brothers are the guys I work with even though they make sexual jokes towards me and try to flirt at times. I have a strong bond with some of them as we spend so much time together we've became like one big crazy family.

They can be total pains in the arse and we fight at times mainly because they like to wind me up, be rude and expect me to clean up after them but deep down we all care about each other and are aways there for one another.

They can be very protective of me and if anyone else outside of work gives me shit they always defend me and are always there to help and look out for me. Like big brothers do.

It can be hilarious at times though. Like we will be arguing and then when someone else tries to get involved who we don't know to well. they all go quiet, give him a dirty and be like "wtf did you just say, shut the f up unless you want to die, you don't speak to her like that" 😅 just minutes after he's just called be a arse hole or something.

I so agree with you... I have 3 brothers... two older and one younger.

After my father and husband, they're the 3 most important men in my life.

If nothing else, they helped me be totally comfortable being around men throughout my life.

I love all 3 of them so much with all my heart !!!

Yeah, I wish I had siblings that cared about me, too. Too bad all 3 of them were only out for themselves and couldn't give a flying fuck about me!!
My best friend and surrogate little sister had 2 older brothers (one died when she was 11) and they both love her a lot!! I envy her!! I guess she still has 2 older brothers if you count me.

I don't know how old you're but that's not what having a older brother is like atall. They usually don't want to talk about guys with you, they don't let you hangout with their friends. They threaten guys to stay away from you or aren't particularly nice to you. My brother would never let me go to a party with him, and they snitch on you to your parents. And not to mention they're bigger and stronger than you so they use their strength and size against you when you fight at younger ages
