I mean Babies and Toddlers see their mum naked and no harm is done but there is a cut off point when the child is old enough to understand.

Unless you live in nudist community.

my nephew seen me naked many times, it was embarrassing, but I'm also a nudist, I had to quickly throw on a pair of leggings and a tank top, even though I like being without clothes

It's not a bad thing and doesn't mean it's sexual. I think nudity is overrated. I can see a woman naked and wouldn't mean I got excited.

If your kids are really young lets say under 8 or so fine whatever. but there should be a age where you dont cross. i understand mistakes do happened like walking while they are changing etc that i get but like i said before really young who cares

Okay let's assume that nudity between children and parents has no harmful effect on children but one question still remains; why would i want to see my child naked? or why would i want my children to see me naked?

  Only in context. I'd run across my parent changing clothes, walk into the bathroom when I didn't know someone was bathing... Nothing about it was weird and no one ever said being naked was shameful. That's ridiculous. I took baths with my great grandmother until I was about 6. I never felt weird about adult bodies clothes or naked. I didn't feel weird about kid bodies either. They were just what we had.

I have seen my mom and grandma naked several times as a kid, teen and adult because they just don't care to show their bodies around their kids, nevertheless I don't believe kids should be seeing their parents naked.

I grew up seeing my mom naked too many times and maybe that's why I have this opinion now, but I'm 100% against if, before puberty... After puberty, nope, don't condone it.

I would say around children of the same gender it might be ok if your changing clothes and just got out the shower.

  Angel: It's only shameful and sexual, if you make it that way. Nudity with children can be simple, and a very good learning process for them. Not just about body parts, but about self esteem, and what a normal body looks like, and that we don't need to feel shame if our bodies are not perfect.

  @markscott I think the shame is comming from the media, not children! When I have children, I will NOT try to purposely traumatize them with my naked body! It's not that I am ashamed of it but I just don't see the point in walking around the house with your birthday suit! It's called private parts for a reason! ... I am not about to encourage them to run around outside naked so...

  My son has seen me nude (almost daily) his whole life. As I stated in the myTake, kids know there are differences between adults bodies and their bodies, aside from the genitals, so they aren't going to get hung up on comparing size, hair, etc., as long as its not made taboo.
