Family over girlfriend always?

OK I have this boyfriend and it's like every chance he gets he puts his family over me which is fine understandable but at the same time is there a point where that becomes too much? Like if we make plans somehow they always get changed cause he had to go do something for his aunt or uncle like if you are married do you believe in you didn't marry your family you married me? So my question is do you think he is doing the right thing by always putting his family over me or do you think sometimes it's ok but not all the time cause it got to the point that whenever we make plans his family always calls him while he is with me to do something.

I have a similar situation. My boyfriend is best friends with his brother who is three years older than he is. And his brother is jealous all the time that the two of us spend together, and I get mad when he spends time with him. Also the brother just invites himself over a lot, and calls him every single day, when he knows we are together. It got to the point where my boyfriend was mad at both of us, and I was constantly mad at his brother. So finally we all l had a talk b/c I felt the brother didn't like me. He basically avoided the whole issue, but at least he knows that I'm onto his game now, and he's been pretty nice since. Take it from me, be careful of what you say to him about his family. Don't ever talk bad about them to him. However, don't let it get out of control like we did, or there could be hurt feelings in the process.

I think it has to be a balance, sometimes put his family over you in big cases like family prob or drama. I mean but you are what's in his life and are supposed to be important, you need to have a talk to him and see what's goods and what he wants. Cause in some ways you are being mistreated.

It's OK sometimes, and so NOT OK if it happens all the time. You should confront him about this matter and hope he'll understand. Tell him how you need the 'fair-attention' from him, or else he might think that its OK to let him puts his family over you.

Well at a time when you feel that this becomes a problem you have to let him know. Because if you hold it in it becomes a big problem and can effect what you have worse than how you feel at the moment.
