I am 20. Why is my 14 year old brother stronger than me?

I'm female, 20, and I'm in pretty good shape. I go hiking, play varsity soccer, and work out. I'm pretty strong, for a girl. But recently I was wrestling with my little brother and he completely manhandled me. He pinned me down and I absolutely couldn't move. It shocked me. I used to toss him around since he was a kid, but now all of a sudden he's stronger than me at 14. Is he strong for his age or are guys that much stronger than girls? Suddenly I feel a lot more vulnerable out in the world lol.

He might hurt you pretty bad.. By mistake..
His strength is not constant it's increasing on daily basis.. He himself doesn't knows his strength..
I screwed up once.. When I was 14 : my mom told me to throw something from roof in the yard.. Expecting my earlier strength I threw it with full strength and it landed approximately twice the distance I expected it to.. And ended by breaking the yard fence of neighbors...

Being older does not always mean you become physically stronger than those that are younger than you. You could hit the gym, learn to build muscle with an exercise program and follow an appropriate diet routine which could help increase your physical strength and stamina and endurance.

Don't worry about too much about your brother all of a sudden being stronger than you, or that you feel more "vulnerable".

Instead, focus on what you can actually do and work on to improve yourself to become at least as equally strong or even stronger than your brother.
