Why doesn't my mom let me wear crop tops?

I'm 17 and my mom doesn't let me wear crop tops or the top fashion trends right now. I feel like a loser and no guys are checking me out.

I actually feel that crop tops aren't that bad actually if they aren't really tight on you. I think younger female look so cute in crop tops. Maybe show your mom pics of crop tops that are not so tight fitting and show all of your stomach.

To me it looks like the girl is trying to show everyone that she is an easy lay. Or that she is looking for a hook up by showing so much skin. If you had a shirt that is barely above your pants waistline and it is a tank top, I would think that would be okay.
If I wouldn't want my daughter wearing something at school, I wouldn't want her wearing it elsewhere either.
You would be better off just spending time hanging out with your friends and not worry about guys until you finish high school. After you finish high school, most of your friends will likely move away or get different school/job schedules and you will hardly ever see most of them again. There will be plenty of time then to find a guy to be with. One that cares for you and isn't looking for a quick hook up.

Excuse me, that’s not a girls fault though. That’s the guys fault, which is why we need to teach men to not think like that. For that to happen, we need to introduce skin. And that way men will learn to accept that, just because your showing skin does not mean your a quick hook up. Slowly people will think about consent. And men will be able to control their urges. People who think a person who is showing skin means they are asking for it is an idiot disgusting freak of a man that should deserve to die and rot in hell. So That being said. We should allow girls to wear what they want like men were what they want, and both women and men learn about something called consent<3. That is why dress codes shouldn’t exist because it’s basic misogyny, it’s saying taht women are responsible for the sexual feelings of men. We are not. We deserve to live whatever the hell we wnat to live like. And for us to do that y'all men need to change. Not us.
