Should I circumcise my son?

Question

Im pregnant. I have older sons who are not circumcised because I didn’t want to put them through the pain and I thought it was bad to be circumcised.
Now my husband is intact (uncut). I noticed he gets chaffed a lot (sore after longer, harder sex), cleaning seems to be a hassle, he has erectile issues. My sons have sore foreskin sometimes though it’s really not so bad.
I have never been with a circumcised man who had any issue with his penis at all.
Should I have this son I’m pregnant with circumcised? Maybe a loose circumcision? I feel like it’s better in the long run. All these penile issues my husband has kind of want me to get my son circumcised and spare him the hassle.

Cleaning seems to be a hassle?
Lady, it takes water, soap and less than 5 seconds, maybe 8 if he's thorough. He's not trying to build a Faster-Than-Light space engine here.

And one man having issues with his penis - if this isn't a troll post - automatically means that your son will have the same issues and the only way to deal with that is to do the procedure?

There are plenty of men who don't have such issues.

We don't cut apart babies who come from a family with pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, etc.

But you want to cut your baby because "cleaning is a hassle"?

Please do it. The pain they feel or felt now is much more than it would have been. Before they would never remember it and no pain now or latter from the for skin never mind duck cheese.

I say do it and you the kid and your man will be happier.

What's important is cleaning properly, just like any other part of the body. Circumcision is unnecessary except in a small number of cases, and performing the procedure with no valid medical reason amounts to mutilation and abuse.
My boyfriend has a normal penis and has never encountered any problems with it. I doubt that your husband and sons have any problem which can't be solved by exercising basic hygiene routines. But if they are having problems then consult a doctor.

You've maybe had a bad experience with your intact husband (sorry to hear), but like others have said; you should consider the fact that you'll be altering your son permanently. The foreskin serves a good purpose and function, and you can't actually say you prevented him from any "trouble" unless he actually has a medically valid reason for the surgery. I say give him the benefit of deciding for himself. There's plenty of intact guys out there, and we're not all running to get circumcised.

Most of us with foreskins manage fine so I would be wary of making the judgement based on the experiences you've had. They vary a lot. Some are tighter and longer and some shorter and slacker after puberty. Mine ended up being the latter even though it was quite tight as a young boy and I can remember being taken to the doctors for some soreness. I think it's fair to say that once we get a little older in most cases it's much easier to avoid these things. Once boys are able to retract, learning how to keep clean and how to pee without getting urine trapped (some shake, some pee with skin pulled back) takes care of a lot of it, but if there are problems perhaps best to leave a surgical option until it is definitely needed.

... Washing your penis is not a hassle. And if your foreskin doesn't get sore, the dick of your head does instead, and loses sensitivity.
Erectile issues have nothing to do with foreskin at all. If anything, removing it can cause erectile issues, because it can cause sensitivity issues.
And how the fuck do you know your sons foreskins are sore?

by the way, your own experiences don't mean anything, unless you've been with 100 circumcised and 100 noncircumcised guys, and are keeping statistics on what problems they had with their dicks.

Just let your son decide himself. What is the problem with that? Why do YOU need to decide for him?
Your husband obviously thinks it's better not to be circumcized, otherwise he would have that done.

LET YOUR SON DECIDE what parts of his freaking body get cut off.

I’m a British man and was circumcised at birth for non-religious reasons. Personally, I’m glad to be circumcised and my girlfriend prefers it. If done, it’s very important that it’s done as painlessly as possible by a qualified doctor in a proper clinic or hospital using proper anaesthetic.

I would give your son the option to do it himself. I was born in a culture where they don't circumcise. My mother was offered the service but declined. As an adult, I have seriously thought of having the snip done.
