Did anyone know there are 5 stages of friendship. Do you have friends from each stage or just from one?

I guess Friends with benefits does not exist in the stages, as intimate friend do not involve sex or friends with benefits goes in another kind of friendship, LOL!!! Stages of sex friendship? HAHA!!!

What about friends with benefits what do you think where it can be included in these stages? Or friends with benefits is jsut a term made up by society? Or lets say good friends who have sex but they are not dating or hang outor seeing each other often just from time to time?

Funny, according to this article I always considered my "casual friends" as aquitances and "close friends" as just... Friends xD
But yeah, I guess I have friends of each stage. My best friend definitely falls under the "intimate" category.

I've never been past stage 3. Rarely past 2. People have consistently shown me that I can't trust anyone, so I stay closed off.

"Friends with benefits" is not a "stage" or friendship nor could it ever be. I also theorize that most FWB'S that actually start out as real friends first, are the only ones who even a chance of remaining friends after the sex thing stops. Most FWB's that I've know are not really "friends" to begin with, but acquaintances who are hot for one another and want a no strings, emotions, or complications option for having sex. I don't believe friendships are formed after the sex is over, at least not very often.

What if these acquaintances you mention know each otehr for 5 yrs?

So you "know" each other for 5 years, but are you "friends"? I know lots of people, for more than 5 years, and I wouldn't say they are friends. But let's say you are, and now you're proposing sex but strictly as a no obligation situation? Well that would be friends with benefits if agreed on, but it's not a "step" in the world of friendship.

yes we know each other for 5 years and we are like friends, who had gone out on dates that includes meals and nice conversations before 4 times 2 of them we had sex but we are not a couple we dont hang out together often, like friends do to activities most friends do, concerts, shopping together, trips together other stuff most common friends do.
