A friend of mine has had both experiences. He referred to his previous neighbors as "The neighbors from hell". Neighbors would have loud parties, fight , loud music, slam doors at late hours. Stand outside their driveway and yell at each other at the top of their lungs etc. He decided to move out!
Now he has this neighbor that wears binoculars around her neck. She knows when he leave the house, when he return, when he has company, when his company leaves. She is always peering at him from her blinds and watching his every move. She also asks totally inappropriate questions for example; Over the weekend when I was there , she knocked on the door to ask about my shoes and ask Chris (my friend) about our relationship. Cousin or SO? WTF am black, he is white. My friend is looking for a new place!

Nosy neighbors at fine because you could fuck with their head and make them look like they are wack jobs especially because they pry a lot. I literally would over nice to her and then make her think she lost her mind to the point of leaving me alone. She wouldn't be able to believe anything she saw or anything I said. Noisy neighbors are harder to deal with.
Nosy neighbors are a nightmare. She will do her best to find out every little thing about you. She will ruin your relationship with friends and family. I mean she will know the number of girls that have visited you during the week and will let everyone know even your girlfriend
I hear you but I would completely fuck with her have strange people knocking at her door. Have people calling her number asking about shit for sale. She would be hella busy fucking with me. I'd make a fucking game out of it. Get creative. I had a sales guy bug me once kept calling so I put an add everywhere I could post it talking about this nice car that was about 5000 bucks less than it should have been. An Xbox for half off. A motorcycle for a fraction of what they go for. He stopped calling me maybe he got busy who knows.
I wrote that in a hurry I didn't realize how many F bombs I dropped. As you can tell I get a little worked up when it comes to people getting into other peoples business. I didn't spend all that time away from family and friends overseas in the military to come back home and have people infringe on my freedom. Since they have a right to act that way I will choose to exercise my right to retaliate. I'm probably not the person a nosy neighbor should be spying on and asking questions with. Most of my friends are Combat Vets and they we see stuff like that a mile a way. That person doesn't want to trigger the wrong person trust me.
I agree, nosy people are a pain. Nosy about literally everything, nosy about your friends, nosy about your new car, nosy about your children, nosy about the work you are doing in your back yard, nosy about a delivery made to your house, everything! Deliberately invading your privacy.

I don't have anything to hide, so a nosy neighbor wouldn't phase me. Plus, think about it: if you need someone to keep an eye on your house, or let you know what's going on in the neighborhood? They'll know.
I used to have a very nosy neighbor. Sweet as can be, but she knew everyone's business on our street! And if I got a package while I was at work, she'd hold it until I got home to make sure no one bothered it.

I have the nosy neighbor... From her kitchen window she can see my driveway, front window, front door... She's called cuz my curtains were closed and said "normally you open the curtains at ##time" she's also mentioned or asked about vehicles in my driveway, which really happens but like WTF how's that your business? When my kids were little she even asked my kids "who had the white car that was at your house" like htf you gonna question my kids. She admits she watches people out her kitchen window, even showed me how she gets in tip toes and stretches to see better... Really 🙄 but on the flip side, I know if any bullshit ever happened she'd see it, but still, geesh lol
I’d rather have nosy neighbors. I already have a nosy neighbor. There’s an elderly woman who lives directly across the street from me and she hates me because I got a dog. She hates my dog. When I first got my dog she was only 2 months old. I was taking her for a little walk just to get acclimated to the neighborhood. She stopped to pee on the patch of grass on the sidewalk near her house. Apparently she has hidden cameras and saw it on her footage and came and asked me not to let my dog pee in front of her house ever again. I told her I wouldn’t do it again and I’ve never even walked my dog near her house since then. But she continues to watch me from her windows and door and harasses me whenever I walk my dog. One time a stray dog that looks similar to my dog ran across her lawn so she cursed out my parents. It’s annoying, but we just ignore her mostly. Sometimes I just throw middle fingers up at her house so she can see it on her camera footage.
Where I live, the nearest neighbour is about half a mile away. Up to about 18 months ago , it was occupied by two gay lads. But a woman and her two sons moved in. We usually do a lot out side, I'm a nudist do I thought it would not up set anyone. girlfriend and me have sex out there. It was only until I got a letter saying I your body , and very entertaining with the girlfriend. I sent her an invite to come round to say sorry I didn't know. But she was all for it, made her feel jealous for the attention. Over the months she has become s good friend..
i would rather have nosy. i really value my sleep and unfortunately i struggle to sleep. it needs to be dead quiet for me to even have a chance at falling asleep, so i would not be able to do noisy (especailly if theyre loud at night). regarding nosy, idrc and have nothing to hide so they can spy on me all they want it doesn't bother me
I'd much rather have them than a nosy neighbor. I've experienced a nosy neighborand it's not fun. It's wanting privacy but never getting privacy. I'd settle with noise cancelling headphones or playing smooth jazz loud to block out their music
I agree. If I were to choose, I would probably pick a noisy neighbor. i think there are lots of ways to deal with a noisy neighbor as compared to a nosy one.
oh constant prying easy. i'm a mysterious person by nature and its fun to have nosy people try to get in my life. plus i'm shameless so let them see me walk around naked in the window its their own fault =D

There is a young family next door, two girls aged 8 and 5, sometimes there is a bit of noise, which actually livens things up a bit, they are very nice family anyway,,,
I have tge nosy neighbor. First time I saw him I was coming home from hanging out with a friend. She was kind of crept out by him. I got out of the car and went to ask him who are you are you lost because you are standing in my neighbor's driveway. He said I live herecand I was like no you don't. He said yes I do I have been here a year. Thats odd because I have never seen you around here before. The houses are across from each other down your typical neighborhood street. He then goes I have been watching you this whole time. I responded by saying that is what creeps do. He said he has evidnce of me being naked outside so I told him to call the cops and I will wait for them. He also accused me of tresspassing by using the sidewalk that is on the other side of the gate at the end of our street. Everyone down the street uses it to get to the drug store, go for walks, get to the public paved path to ride bikes, walk into town etc. It has been there before I moved in back in 2003. By the time of the conversation I have been living there for almost 16½ years. Once again I told him to call the police then. The police never showed ip. Few days latter he started crap again so I said call the police. Once again they did not show up. Before I went back in my house I was like if you had evidence of me doing wrong then you would have called the police. The reason you have not cslled them is because there is no evidence of me doing what you are accusing me of doing. The reason is because I have not done what you accuse me of doing you asshole. I have not seen him since that day and it has been over a year.
noisy, i can sleep with noise and i can masturbate without that bastard being nosy and not only that, they wouldn't be able to hear anything, i can plan a whole homicide without them figuring out lol
The nosy neighbor is somewhat friendly. Always checking on you and coming to say hi. My friend's neighbor is constantly knocking on his door to get advise on things. She hates to stay at the door. She likes to talk from inside and look at everything in the apartment. Annoying 😬 I have advised my friend to buy a "BUSY, NO NEIGHBORS NEEDED" sticker and put it on his door
Even if it's at at 3 am or rather 9am on a cold Saturday or Sunday? Imagine you work 50 hours a week and then have to deal with such shit on your day off!
I am extremely noisy (biggg speakers and musician many instruments) I love listening to music loud, yelling, doing impressions, singing, screaming, just making really strange loud sounds, etc, so I'm cool with the noise. I want those noisy neighbors so that I can be noisy too. Also I'm a very heavy sleeper.
Don't be so uptight :P if you want a perfectly quiet place don't live in the city
