I tried several times but I have never successfully made friends. I tried making some in school by seeming friendly so I took part in a couple clubs and brought homemade cupcakes or other food for everyone but still id be tossed off to the side line until they had a question like how do I make a handle for my cup ( I was good a ceramics) then in college I tried inviting people I knew to a certain degree to various things like I tried inviting people to bowling , water parks, movie's, I even tried my hand at throwing a party but without fail everyone always gives me sounds fun I'll be there then cancels the day of I invited 15 different people most of which didn't know each other and they all cancelled 3 hour's before the party. Ps some of the people weren't in school at the time. what am I missing here I don't understand what I have to do to be deemed good enough friends material to have a friend.I have been without friends for 8 year's so you could say I'm getting kinda of desperate and people at my job always say I'm sweet and nice and they don't understand why I don't go hang out with friends. Ps my coworker are about 30 years older than me with kids and grandkids.
Honestly, there is no "secret formula". You just have to get out there and keep trying. I'm not a big "friend" person myself. I've only a few friends from high school I'm still with. I mean, you could try online? Like Social Media?

In 21 years of life I have had three friends one my cousin and he ditched me when we turned 14 guess I wasn't"cool enough" to be his friend. i had another for a month in second grade but we moved shortly after that. And lastly I had a friend from 6 to 13 but her mom would use my mom and they got in a big fight so my mom moved me three states over and got rid of any contact between us I found her on Facebook a while back but she doesn't seem very interested in being my friend again. So I've had no friends since I was 14 and I have tried everything I could think to try to make friends so far the best I've accomplished is going to lunch with an 80 year old woman and no I'm not being insulting she literally turned 81 this year. I'm being to just except that friendship just isn't my thing
Would you like to be my friend then? We could talk to each other. I've never had a female "friend" so it'll be cool. Nothing romantic. I'm not looking for that now. Stuff happened so yeah. Only if you want to. I can be there for you online I guess... Although warning I'm no one special.
We can if you want to but I don't want you to be my friend out of pitty and everyone is special in there own way rather you see it or not just because you don't see yourself as special doesn't mean somebody else feels the same
Not at all. I've been where you are. Still am in many ways. Since we are similar in that fashion, I imagined we would be pretty good friends. That's all. I think we would get along pretty well :)

Think I do what? I have few people tell me I look like a kindergarten teacher or told me in a " goodie goodie" because I don't drink or smoke or use pot u don't have anything against people who do I'm just uninterested in the practice
Younger people don't really like me because I'm not really into parties and drugs and older people have kids and don't really have time to hangout with me
Ummm since forever I didn't really socialized so I had a lot of free time so I have been working with Clay resin making soap I've made a couple blocks of cheese a plus various other things and I still want to do forging glass blowing and woodworking. I found a lot of hobbies since I was like 10
That's great. Keep it up. If you like it, do as much as you want. It's good you can find a lot of hobbies. Actually maybe you can make friends with people who do art like that. Crafting. Or another kind of hobby you have. Things can be happen unexpected
I tried to I took a ceramics class to try and make friends and I'd spend 12 hour's working on projects every now and then someone would ask me how to do something but wouldn't talk to me again after that
Also took a cake decorating classes same thing everyone established a friend group and I got treated like a out cast teacher. Really only talked to me when they wanted me to show them how to pipe a Rose
I have tried ceramics , archery, cake decorating, a science club and a psychology club with similar results. i honestly don't know how many classes I have to try to make a friend I'm kinda just ready to give up
Maybe but I don't think I have ever had a friend who wasn't using me in some way or another I was either being used for my money my knowledge or my muscle but nobody has hung out with me just to hangout
You know it's sad when you go to a class where nobody knows you in a completely new state in an overcrowded classroom and still end up sitting alone because the other classmates took chairs from your table and overcrowded other tables just so they didn't have to sit with you. I'm wearing a t-shirt and a flower headband how much more friendly do you want my sorry ass it's not like I just rolled in here with a 1% tattoo and a shotgun on my back
Yeah. I know. It happened to me. There's nothing wrong with what you wear. Not with you. But them. Okay.. Let's just say they are all asshole. They just miss someone like you. They don't deserve you.

I am until I get to know you once I'm comfortable I'm pretty chatty I specifically pushed myself to work in a store so I'd be forced to talk to people I didn't know
