Who showed you the most love during childhood (family, friends, etc)?

Even though i can be quite dramatic at times lol, I’m still such a goofy happy bubbly person. I can't stay mad or sad for more than half an hour. 
 —As for childhood, I felt so loved by my mom.  Well mainly when she didn't have a guy in the picture. —My grandparents on both sides also adored me.  It was the first time that my moms parents were in her life again since they kicked her out when she was just an innocent kid. (They didn't really want kids.) But birthing me gave my grandparents a second chance at being better at parenting. — My uncles loved me and gave me a dollar everytime they saw me.  Haha I was rackin up early.  My 4 adult girl cousins took me everywhere  and I USED to want to be just like them before they became mothers themselves. — My friend girls in ballet loved me and all the kids at school wanted to come to my house daily.  (And they did and they fcked up my room and I had to cleanup all the toys by myself). A lot of them had my mom for a teacher so I was very popular in preschool and got away with a lot since my mom was the director. —The teachers in preschool and elementary loved me and sadly showed me a bit more attention then other students and even their own kids.  They would take me home since they considered me part of their family. But the kids just wanted a sibling so they didn't care. And i was bossy af lol.  — The girls in elementary were more snoody but the guys loved me  and would come knock on my door all the time to play outside. — My friends parents loved me and would take me home with them all the time even though they already had a shit load of kids to care for.  I practically lived with them every other weekend. (Yep this includes Bo and his wacko Mom) —I had a happy childhood and I hope my future kids feel forever loved, especially during that time as well. #FeelFreeToList #ForTheLoveOfAChild

#1. My parents. My mom was always there for me because my dad was gone from before I was awake and didn't come home until 5:00. My mom and I were best friends. She took me places and did things for me. She helped me a LOT throughout my life. My friends loved her, too. She was like a mama lion when it came to protecting my sister and me
She was deeply involved in my grammar school.

I idolized my dad when I was a kid. He took the family on drives every weekend and we did some really great things.
He took me to my baseball games, taught me how to play, practiced with me, and was the assistant coach a few years.
He put a basketball hoop on our garage so I could play in the driveway.
When my mom was being protective of me learning how to roller skate or ride a bike, for example, he would say "Don't worry, he'll be okay."
He took me to air shows, especially ones that featured WWI era airplanes, because those were a passion of his.
He belonged to a WWI aero historian club that met once a month in Hollywood and took me along. He even introduced me to some famous people.
He introduced me to building model airplanes.
We would go places and do things together. He and I would go to movies. We were buddies.
He took me on my first airplane ride with a friend of his who owned an airplane. That friend even taught me how to take off, land, and do simple maneuvers.
He showed me how to work on a car.
In my early teens, he started teaching me how to drive, first by sitting next to him and steering, and later by taking me to large, empty parking lots to get the feel for the controls myself. By the time I was old enough to get my learner's permit, I was already competent. He also gave me my first car as soon as I got my driver's license at age 16.
The list goes on and on.

Where he went wrong was in being a fuddy duddy and rejecting modern culture. He wanted me to be his mini-me. My mom was always the one who shared in my music and bought me the kind of clothes that I wanted.
When I decided to grow long hair in high school, my dad sort of turned his back on me while my mom remained my best friend. We didn't bond again until I was in my late twenties.

2. My maternal grandparents. We visited them almost every weekend. They were so nice to me. They were a good example, too. And it was interesting to hear them tell anecdotes of experiences when they were young.
My grandfather was really into music. We often watched music shows on TV at their house. Lawrence Welk, Nat King Cole, Roger Miller, Glen Campbell, and much more. He listened to the radio, and when he heard something he liked, he would buy the record. He introduced me to a wide variety of music, including some new popular stuff like surf music, the Mamas and the Papas, etc. I credit my appreciation for music to him.
He was also outdoorsy. He and my gradma had a beautiful garden. They often joined my family in outings and some of the places we went were lakes, state parks, botanical gardens and arboretums. I loved that stuff and still do.

3. I had one particular uncle who always treated me with respect. We did some really cool stuff together, like fossil hunting and going to stock car races.

4. I got along really well with some of my grammar school teachers, some of whom were nuns. They were mentors and almost like friends.

Mom, sisters and my bestfriend. something happened was 14 that really messed me up for a long time. I would get especially depressed on holidays and because of this I wouldn't attend family gatherings. My family would try to guilt me into going by saying things like "you know, my kid doesn't even know who you are" "it's like you don't even want to be apart of this family" and this made me hate myself and made it much more difficult to heal. We do not have any sort of relationship now.

My bestfriend and immediate family were very understanding and patient.

Ah thats awesome! I think my grandmother showed me the most love. I gained my confidence and self love from her. My mom took care of me. My friend used to buy things for me, hold my hand, and walk me home everyday from school. But my little sister i grew up with has a lot of love for me and i do too. I think the order of love i felt from each would be sister, grandmother, mom, friend. I felt my mom was and is mostly about protecting her kids. Awesome but she's hurt me a lot emotionally.

If we're going to be technical about it my mom and her side of the family. My dad wasn't around much but my old karate instructor was a father figure towards me so I did have a positive male influence in my life. My 1st grade teacher showed me tons of love as well as almost all my teachers my senior year mainly my art teachers cause they really wanted me to express myself and be more open.

Well of course I think my mom did that it was weird for me because at 5 years old my cousins had come into town and she told me that my dad was not my dad of course I do not believe her so I went and asked my parents they told me the truth right there that my dad was my step dad and from that moment on I always wondered who I was I would look at people every looking guys at men and wonder if they were my dad so in a lot of ways I had to love myself I had to understand things and I was always looking for myself in doing so I learned so much about myself who I was what I was capable of what I wasn't what it takes to be capable of and I didn't understand why my dad wouldn't be in my life why he wouldn't love me why he would away so I learned how to love myself and by doing so you taught me a lot about a lot of things and how to love other people I was 27 when I met my real dad he's a a pretty good guy and I always wondered who I was and even though I did like them I found out who I didn't want to be and that everything happens for a reason and I'm okay with that region because of how much it taught me my step dad used to beat me with a belt I mean beat me I've learned that you cannot hit somebody and tell them that you love them in the same motion of the same breath as you're swinging a belt I also learned unconditional love in taking somebody that's not yours into their heart and treating them as if they are your own kid so all of these things that have happened to me in my life was actually a blessing because when I had children they got the best of me without any anger without hitting only with love and compassion and straight not even yelling just a Stern sound of my voice
Pssst and the motion of my first finger come here if and when they were doing anything wrong they would walk up to me say yes dad that would respond is this your property is this your house you guys can't do this how would you like it if somebody was doing this to yours things you have to respect other people's property do you understand I would hear yes and I say okay go play go have fun but think before you do so now I'll answer your question it would have to be my mom even though I moved out when I was 16 because her new husband put his hands on me one time and I made sure that he wasn't ever going to do that again and I think I was wrong and my mom saw that and it broke her heart and a few weeks later I told you I was going to move out she said no I said yes and I did but she was always there at my baseball games could I race dirt bikes anything I did she would be there

My Family. As much as I stay away from a lot of my relatives nowadays , they were the ones who made my childhood awesome. I sometimes miss those days where I had nothing serious to worry about and just have fun and get cool gifts for absolutely no reason. Now half of my relatives just wanna know what I've thought about my life , my career , further studies , when I'll get settled and stuff and at first it was kind of exciting and overwhelming but now it's just annoying because they ask the same question every time we meet ans It's the same answer every single time.

My favorite uncle, when he came to visit he would sit with adults and etc but he always made time to come into my room, sit with me and well talking with me!

It’s hard to say. I definitely know my parents love me but I never felt the emotional connection. I remember in elementary I was treated like a baby by all my classmates. I don't know why. I’ve never had a teacher that didn’t love me.
