Jealousy or something else?

I'm sick and I was feeling bad. My guy friend didn't text me today to ask how I am.
I was joking, being dramatic, and sent him a text saying how I'm going to die. And another one telling him to forgive me because that first text was sent to him by mistake and it was meant for someone who cares. He answered that I'm forgiven and to send it to the one who takes care of me.
I laughed and called him an asshole and he called me a spoiled brat.
Was he jealous and hurt because I told him he doesn't care enough about me?

Not saying this is a rude way, but it seems like you’re texting him for the sort of support a partner should provide, not necessarily your friend. Unless he wants to, and if not that’s not wrong. He doesn’t have to check in everyday to check on you, and when he doesn’t, it shouldn’t be met with those backhanded jokes. Then to call him an asshole for not responding how you wanted was rude, even if “he knows how you are and you joke a certain way”, that’s cool and all but sometimes it’s just not cute or funny. What he said in response was fine, because it’s true, send those texts to the person who takes care of you aka your partner. Nothing jealous about it love.
