There are TWO ways to apologize to someone and its VITALLY important that YOU and THEY understand what is meant!
The FIRST IS... I'm sorry you were hurt in what I'd said or done. (That you were either physically or emotionally injured by MY actions or choices) Regret.
The SECOND IS... "I am NOT sorry for WHAT I'd done under the circumstances" and will likely do so again, but AM sorry it offended YOUR beliefs in WHO I TRULY am. (A kitten may be adorably soft and cuddly but it IS in their evolved atavism that their GENUINE nature IS 'predatory' and they will (to our perception 'sadistically') toy with and take the lives of birds, squirrels and rodents.
In a recent aside, blog of confessions of what society deems pedophilic survivors many suffer trying to reconcile the unvarnished reality of that regardless of their chronological ages... a number of the 'victimized' found their nascent sensuality awakened, and in repetitive instances they both savored... and on occasion instigated circumstances, whereupon they could RE-experience the exciting physically- pleasuring arousal they'd ancillarily discovered they found novelly-exciting.
Prevailing society's promulgated 'right & wrong' was played a distant second to their OWN experiential gratification. Such candid pragmatic admissions set off a firestorm of public rebukes even amidst their peer 'incest / pedophillic' "survivors", so STRONG is the inculcated need for the embracing redemptive 'approval' of the hypocritical community-at-large. They felt need to reconcile the oxymoron~
Maybe close to 5/5. I come from Japan! We got the whole sincere apology thing down to an art form! :-D
That said, I also spent a lot of time in the US, and I'm a stubborn firstborn child. So I don't tend to apologize nearly as often as Japanese people tend to do. Japanese tend to apologize even if you step on their toe like, "I'm so sorry that my foot was in your way." I don't do that.
So I have to truly think I did something wrong. But if I do, I go full-blown sincere, but moreover, try my best to assure them (favoring more show over tell) that it's very unlikely to happen again.
Fuck you! Why is that any of your business? Oh Doug, I'm so sorry, you know how I can get sometimes, it not an excuse, but an admission that I do need help, you were right, but I didn't listen, and I'm so sorry for that too. You don’t deserve to be treated like this, you don’t deserve any of this. I’m so sorry doug. I wish you could read my heart and know how sorry I feel for hurting you! You are the best thing that ever happened to me, and if I ever lost you… well I don’t know what I’d do. But I do know that I'm committed to working this issue out so that I don’t keep hurting the man I love!
okay, so you tell me… How good are my apology skills?
woo the yeah first two words threw me off a minute lol...
i like it... 4/5 :P
Given that I had to make it up as I was going along, 4/5 seems pretty amazing, thank you so much!

singing this to me would make it a 5 though ;)
You want a woman, you sing YOU a song, that begins “Girl I can’t let you do this”? Nah, you know what, my respect for you just means way more that a star ⭐️ . 4 out of five is still 90%
lol well obviously change the pronouns :P
I'd give myself 4 out 5. I'm good at it and I'd give you 2 out of 5.

Many years ago I had to terminate a lady because she was missing a lot of work. I have a soul but being in management I had to take these kinds of actions. About a month later I learned this lady had just suffered through her husband running off and a recent diagnosis of a bad illness for her baby. I was in tears as I made contact with the company HR dept. I was also angry nobody defended her. I had no idea what was happening in her life. I knocked on her apartment door and she answered. I asked if I could speak to her and she asked me in. I made it clear to her that I was sorry about the situation and was there to make sure she understood she still had a job. We kept her insurance in force and she got back wages. She went on to be a valuable employee and was still there when I retired. The kid last I heard was attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado and she did remarry. We did have a long talk. I was right to fire her based on the limited information I had at that time. This is why I apologized for the situation, not my actions which I rectified as soon as I became aware of the full truth.
Totally unintentional but I'm really good at apologizing when I actually feel bad about it
It's probably because when I feel sorry for something I feel really really sorry for it otherwise I don't feel sorry at all it's always one of the two I either feel cripplingly bad about it or I just don't give a damn
To be fair when I don't give a damn about apologizing I'm not in the wrong at all or almost not at all this has been curtinformed by an outside perspective many outside perspectives
I've noticed I'm really good at gaining empathy
I hate it though
I really really hate being empathized
Almost makes me feel weak
I'm not weak but it makes me feel like they view me as weak like I actually need empathy which for the most part I don't some things I do but most of the time I'm fine on my own
6/5 at not being a shitty person or to people... and then I don't have to apologize to them, lol
the few times I messed up, it was with ex-girlfriends, but that was just easy... you talk it out and move on
when you do not have intentions to mess it up, people are quick to recognize that and you both just move on
I'm usually very sensitive to not upsetting people deliberately, so don't often have a need to apologise. But if they got offended by something because they're overly sensitive or soft ir percieved it as something else, I'm not going to apologise for their percieved offence, I don't have time for people like that. If I've genuinely said or done something insensitive to upset somebody then I will definitely apologise and make amends.
I’m good at apologizing but only when I’m legitimately in the wrong, which (in real life) is almost never.
"which (in real life) is almost never. "
ohhh pretty bold lol
Lol I’m a people pleaser
Unless I've been untruthful and/or impolite, I don't take responsibility for others feelings.
A person's character can be measured by the volume of truth they will endure.
Negative 100I am a bit hard, coz of my cursed state life So I dont ever feel sorry let alone say sorry I can say I have never said sorry to anyone in my whole life
I’m not charming or sweet, I am just remorseful and serious when I want to apologize, it’s more to show respect than to offer restitution cause I’m not good at making things up to people.
I prefer apologizing someone rather than staying in guilt. I don't if it works well because I'm not good in expressing my feelings but I do apologize if I need to.
Never apologize. A friend doesn't need it, an enemy will take advantage.
Never complain, never explain.
Better still, don't be a jerk in the first place.
3/5, I'm ok at it. Sometimes I don't apologize because I want to but because I have to.
I got a codependent problem.. I apologize for nothing sometimes
I'd say I'm very good at it. I don't have a problem apologizing if I did something wrong.
i apologize a lot even if it is not my mistake because i am extremely sensitive and at the same time i am very humble. thats why mostly people even took advantage of my humbleness.
Im okay at it as I dont really apologize for much as Im not in the wrong that much.
Nobody is perfect, even when we apologize. We just do the best we can.
I don't apologize. If I am in the wrong I will admit my wrong and step towards negotiating rebalancing.
Ehhh…depends on the situation.
Ok can you give an example?
I genuinely feel bad in general, if I do something wrong. For example, my ordered pizza for me the other day, and when I went to pick it up, called them to let them know I was there. I felt like my tone was rude, so I called back and apologized.
Now, say someone did something to me, they can’t see their fault, and I am told to apologize, I won’t. I will cut them off real fast. I don’t waste time on that. 🤷🏾♀️
I have a conscious, and it is a very strong one.
lol cute with that first one.
2nd one i get it
5/5
I apologize for everything
Its always sincere too? :p
They're pretty bad
maybe 3/5
better than me anyways lol
4/5 I think I'm pretty good.
It has gotten weaker over time. <3
I amx constantly apologizing to people
I don't apologize. Because I have no reason to.
2/5 I'm rarely sorry 😂
When you are married, you better be good at it.
Oh I see, it's all MY fault? lol
Should be 4/5
5/5 I'm a pro.
