Are you an easy friend to reach over the phone📱?

Question

I can be, but sometimes I pull back from friends, if I sense something I am not comfortable with.  What about ya? ^-^

Not really. My friends and colleagues know that the phone is a poor way to reach me. Much better is to send me a text or email and then I will call them if needed. To be blunt, the phone is a disrupting device... the caller expects the receiver to immediately drop whatever they are doing and talk to them. I don't like that, which I why I prefer texts or email... I can read them at my leisure and respond (or not) as I choose.

If they call or FaceTime me, I will always answer. however I’m not good at responding to texts. If you text me then you’re gonna have to wait 2-3 business days for a response lol

I like space, I hate having to talk to people often however if they are in a crisis I am sure to be there. I am just the friend that is reliable regardless if i dont talk to you everyday. I can talk to a friend once a week and be happy with that.

Have a girl friend (I admit, I am attracted to) contacts me about her relationship problems with her boyfriend. He is physically and mentally abusive and uses her money to buy stuff while being stingy with his, even tho he makes far more and has 2 sources of income. He has broke her ankle when he got mad and dragged her by her neck from the bed. He also be littles her saying no other guy would want her because of her looks. Been trying to get her to leave him for a year now any time she asks to talk about whats happening. I am growing tired of it. Its like she is trapped by fear of leaving.

Reasonably but not for extended conversations. If they want to suggest we hang out tonight though, I'm down. Usually, if they call or text me, it's for an invitation. Like:

[Ring tone, pick up the phone]
Friend: I'm heading to [place] tonight. Want to go together?
Me: Cool, I'm down! See you then! [click]

I'm usually got a small circle of friends who i will always be there for, but the rest usually get confused how i feel bout them, because i be like we down rn, but next month i got no time or interest for them, but the following month we down again.

Not really. I don't spend a lot of time on my phone so I'll see your message when I see it. If it's urgent, call my landline, I'm more likely to answer that than my mobile if I'm at home.

If I’m close with the person, absolutely. If not, you may not hear from me for days. That’s not intentional either. I just feel drained when I feel like I have to put in 90% of the effort.

I think we all need somebody to lean on and express our feelings. It makes us feel better after we have talked with somebody and had them listen to us. We don't need somebody to tell us what we want we just want somebody to listen to us.
