I feel like my girlfriend is more of a "best friend" than a "girlfriend" ?

Anonymous
I have been with my girlfriend Emily for over 5 months.

We are both 23, have a fun time together and live a few blocks from each other (in a major metropolitan city).

So we get to see each other very often.

However, I feel like my girlfriend has become more of a best friend then a girlfriend (and best friend).

Since we see each other often most of the time we go over the others apartment and just hang out, watch a movie, make dinner whatever.

Aside from a hug or a cuddle or a little kiss, we aren't intimate much.

I can't explain it. I am a pretty horny guy and my girlfriend is beautiful, but if we were to take away the hug, kiss or cuddle we'd be doing the same thing any other friends would be doing.

We go on dates once a week: maybe out to dinner or to the bar, but I feel like our relationship really isn't going anywhere.

I do like her, but for some reason it feels like more of friendship than anything else.

We talk almost everyday (if we don't see each other) either over email, or phone or text, but I feel like she initiates the conversation most of the time.

I kind of feel like I am stuck dating a friend. I feel like we are at a fork in the road and we aren't at the "serious boyfriend/girlfriend" stage yet.

Maybe it's the fact that we are so comfortable with each other now, that we see each other so much.

Maybe it's not a bad thing that someone you are dating is a good friend?

She jokes that we are like an old married couple.

I kind of agree.

Help?

Thoughts?

Thanks!
