Best way to cut off my mother without hurting her feelings?

She's not abusive or anything like that, but she's a person I'd better not associate with for my reputation and new life I am building for myself. I don't want to tell her this, but make a good excuse to gradually cut off without hurting her feelings.

I have found the best way to do what you are describing is to stay enormously busy. And, when you do get together with that other person have much to share. The odds are that she will be able to sense it anyway.

If u dont want to associate her with ur reputation, why dont u just change ur moms reputation same like u? What, ur moms reputation is bad or sum?
