I've ran out of things to say.
Don't say anything. Just be present and supportive. Small things like making sure they've got tissues, making sure they've got something warm to drink, and checking with their family if they need anything.
It's common where I'm from for people to cook for someone going through a loss. Maybe that's something to think of.
Make sure you remind yourself to check in on them in a few weeks, a few months, and after half a year. Grief takes a long time to work through, so being supportive isn't just a one time show. It's a process.
