Say that someone posted a Facebook update that they have moved to a certain town, whereby some childhood acquaintances have also already moved to, and who are still living there. Is that update enough of a motivation for those acquaintances to reach out invitations to hang out? Or is it the responsibility of the person moving to the town to reach out and say 'hey, I see you moved here too a while ago. Let me know if you want to hang out sometime'. I mean, if my timeline update wasn't enough for them to even 'like', then why should I also have to privately reach out to them? Isn't the ball in their court? I mean, in the old days, of course it would be the person moving to the town who would reach out to the one already living there, because the person already living there would not have any other way of knowing that they have moved there as well. But now, with Facebook, whereby everyone knows your activity, it gets complicated.
Depends on your relationship with them and what level of acquaintanceship you have TBH.

This is yet another of a continuous stream of reasons not to have Facebook. Back when you had to *gasp*meet people face-to-face for social functions, developing new protocols for this wouldn’t even have been a thought.
I think both of you should dump Fakebook and talk face to face in the real world
PS) for you know that fakebook was created by the CIA to spy on you what you do where you go what you spend money on big bother is watching youI'm NOT on FB, so I DON'T know the etiquette!
