Is it discrimination to only serve food to selected people at your birthday?

Is it bad to only serve delicious food to selected people at your birthday. Mom and I went to my godsmother birthday and she served us okay food but I saw there's a tray buttered chicken and she said those food are not for us and only for her special friends lol. (Rich friends) I just loled because I feel like its discrimination. She didn't serve that food to her poor visitors too but the food is in the table lol
