Is my dad more logical than mom?

I've dumped my boyfriend after 3 years. He was stalling and we've already had prior discussions of goals, clear timeframes, where things are going, etc. We've both been recently promoted and yet he kept giving excuses and extending things to 2025. That's too much. I left and told him I never wanted to see nor hear from him again.

While my mom is still has him on her fb, complimenting on the good time we went on a trip, how he bought her a good purse on Mother's day, when he bought he sunflowers, how he was a gentleman and did so much, my dad got straight to the point. He interrupted her and explained that he's an idiot that did nothing but wasted my time. He then added (in a sarcastic tone) ''yeah he did so much and everything except giving our daughter her ring. The idiot screwed her over. That's what he did.'' According to my dad whatever good actions he might have done in the past got scraped when he didn't give me commitment. My dad already gave him the grade of an F.

Neither my dad nor anyone in my family want anything to do with him. He isn't ever welcome. Is my dad more logical than mom?

My father is radical on that part. To him, there are only two grades for a man, either an A or an F. If he gives commitment, it's an immediate A but if he doesn't and it leads to a break-up or he screws me over, he won't give a damn about whatever good things he did, it's an F right away.
