I tend to wish my mum happy birthday even though she passed away years ago. Dad on the other hand nope I refuse to celebrate anything for him anymore.

Was your dad not there for you? I still celebrate his birthday even if he wasn’t there for me most of my life not because of him just for me because I know at the end I can’t hold a grudge over something he can’t fix now. It’s mess up but I forgiven him enough not for him but for me because I want to move on and not be angry even the hurt is there for long time.

He was there but he wasn't exactly loving and since having my baby 5 months ago he has been a real jerk towards me

He expects me to cater to my sister's demands. The same woman who tried to have my child taken off me and the same woman who spread a bunch of lies about me and made accusations against me and still to this day continues to do it. This on top of her also ruining my daughters birth photos and her robbing me of cutting my own daughter's umbilical cord because she took it upon herself to jump in and cut the cord and she laughs about what she did. He legit told me to just ignore her and not pay any attention yet if I dare say anything bad about her or I try and defend myself dad turns against me and goes off at me because he is there protecting her

He had the audacity to even ask me for my sister if she can get copies of photos I own that I took of her kids and he legit stood there telling me if I don't give her copies of the photos she won't get him his smokes anymore. I went completely off at him and told him I'm not giving her shit not after everything she done to me.

What's worse he completely ignored my daughter his grandchild the entire day. She was there talking trying to get his attention and he straight up ignored her.

This is the same guy and the same woman who when mum died, they went against mum's wishes when she for years said she wanted to be buried they instead cremated her because it was cheaper and the messed up thing is. Mum paid for her own funeral and than my sister had the audacity to tell dad to use the rest of mum's money she had put aside for her burial to spend on himself.

My father died in 2007. I do not celebrate his birthday and I do not pause in remembrance on his date of death.
