My parents are unconditional towards me but yeah it sucks for others that have to find out the hard way that there were conditions and got disowned.
Isn't that worse than death? When a loved one passes away, they are missed, cried, mourned, acknowledged, remembered, etc. With disownment, you've reduced them to a random stranger, don't remember them, don't miss them nor care for them. It's like they never existed, that all the years you've raised them don't exist at all. I'm willing to them, they even took out all the pictures too. So if they said hi to you, then it's followed by a ''Who are you?'' response.
That's always been compared to being dead under someone's eyes. Nope. When a loved dies, you missed them. When they're disowned, you don't give a rats about them, if they're dead or alive or in the hospital. You literally don't care about their lives.

If they disowned you they never cared about you so you should stop caring too
Exactly. Those people suck as parents.
I’m sorry for what’s happening to you
It's not. Read the beginning again. My parents are unconditional towards me. I just feel sorry for other people that got disowned. I feel rage for those parents they had.
Whenever I read disownment stories, such as a woman that got disowned by her father for wanting both her father and stepfather walking her down the aisle... my mind freezes. I find that an abomination.
Yes that’s so sad and heartbreaking
Indeed. It's sad some people never learn what really parental love is. That's different from romantic relationship. If I ever had a child, I could never find it in my heart to discard my love and pretend he/she is a random stranger in the streets.. not even if they wronged me. They would still my child.
