One of my best friends is moving across the country because of a new job opportunity and she’s very excited but sad because she’s leaving out hometown. I don’t want her to leave. At first I told her whatever choice she makes I’ll understand and when she told me I was disappointed. I was like, “Aw man! I was hoping you would stay here!” She told me, “I thought you would understand.” And then I said, “And you believed me? No I’m not happy that you’re moving away! I’m not! But I am happy for you and I do want you to be happy. You’re my best friend and you’re the most trustworthy friends I’ve ever have.”
I have another friend that’s moving on to another job and I’m not happy that they’re leaving but I am happy for them. I still live in the sand house with my parents but I work and go to school. Why can’t things be the way it used to be. It’s been six years since I’ve graduated high school.
