How much going to hospital for a surgery or icu or ccu will cost in your city?

For example, my father was in icu for 2 weeks and 1 week in general ward and it costs approximately 4500 US dollars.

is it considered low, high …?

I was in the icu for two months it cost my dad’s insurance under 8 thousand. I was in the trauma center for 5 days it cost my insurance over 20,000. Why the difference well first one happened the 1980’s and the second one was in 2015.

NC was the 20,000 bill, was in the ER about 2 years ago in NC spent 6 hrs in the main ER and it cost 5,500.
The 8,000 one was NY

10€ for parking and 10€ for every day you may spent in hospital, up to 280€ max.

There is no difference. The only thing that makes a difference is wether or not you have private or mandatory insurance. With Private insurance you can get a single room for yourself in the hospital.

And to be honest i don't even know if there are government owned hospitals. As far as i know most of them belong either to a church or owned by private investors.

Nothing. Like all First World nations save the good (?) ol' USA, our health care system takes care of that expense.
