Do others have dreams of being a parent a lot?

I don't know of this is just a thing women have but I've been getting these dreams more often now especially now me and my husband are talking about trying for a baby later this year.

I have really realistic dreams about being a mother and when I wake up I feel sad and miss my baby that I had in my dreams.

I had a dream last night but I was in the park playing and taking pictures of a little girl that looked like me when I was little. She was probably around 6/7 years old blonde curly short hair, feckles and a big gap teeth smile 🤣. She was wearing a sun hat and a pretty summer dress and calling me mummy and showing me a ladybird shed caught and I was calling her Felicity.

That's the name I've always wanted to my child if she was a girl.

I felt so much love for this little girl and really happy in my dream but then I woke up and realised it wasn't real. I spoke to my sister about it and she says she had dreams like that too but in her dreams she has a little boy instead.

Is this common and do men get this too?

I'd love to have kids someday but I think it's unlikely for a lot of reasons. I would have liked to have a son and a daughter someday, but I've had no real luck dating and I'm almost 30 so that ship will have pretty much sailed in 6 years at most.

My dreams are very random. Sometimes they make no sense to me at all. But I would love to be a father 1 day so I think about it every now and then

I don't know if it's common, but I do have dreams like these—especially since I’m someone who yearns to have a family of my own.
