Trending & News I used to think you have to be financially stable and “ready” to have a family
but now I see nobody is ever actually ready.
if your parents are willing to help, along with your partners parents and you both continue working and studying, you can save up and make it work but don’t leave all the child care for your parents either. Make it work so it’s just minimal work for them. And have your partner work while the other one babysits. What I mean by help from your parents is somewhere to live without paying too much if possible maybe even free if they are not struggling.
my brother and his girlfriend got pregnant when they were 16
at first it seems like a dead end
but they both started working and never stopped going to school.
they were lucky to both have parents that helped with where to live so no need to pay rent.
one became a nurse and the other co owner of a trucking business. Today they are both young parents and they stayed living at parents house till they were 35
even when they both have good paying jobs it’s so difficult to find a place where they can afford that’s why they took so long since everything is so expensive especially in California.
so now they finally have their home almost 40 years old but their kids are grown now and they look like young parents. Now they can just focus on themselves because their kids are not so little that need too much attention.
it really seems ideal to me now.
however if you don’t have a good job and don’t have parents that can help you or anyone, then it will be super difficult.
It if you have a good job or someone that is willing to help with the living situation, I think if you have the heart to live a child, not abusive angry over that will mistreat h by Irene wise you just want to relax play and be with friends etc etc, then think being a young parent is probably a good thing, and you will still be young when your children get old.
I sometimes wish I had a baby a long time ago.. it looks so nice when they stand next to their grow up children and they are atilll young looking themselves.
And don’t pay strangers to babysit. And make sure the partner you get is an an abusive person either. I just saw a documentary about a sick father that abused his child since he was 2 and killed his right before he turned 9. He homeschooled him :((( that child never knew real tender love or care I am so sad.. some people do not deserve children 😔if there is a heaven I hope this child finally feels some level of love there:(
I mean make sure they’re NOT* an abusive person*
Im 19 and i could say im financially stable apart from the fact i live in a camper in my parents backyard with the sole intent of saving up to buy some rural property somewhere
Save a big more and hopefully Find someone with same mentality as you and strive for success. I think if you are able to have one of you stay at home to care for the baby for first years of his/her life, it would be ideal. If you think you’re gonna need to pay a babysitter then don’t jump into it now. You will still be a young parent if you wait a year or 4 to save more. The worse thing is to have someone mistreat your child and they are unable to speak out about it or you not know about it until it gets too critical.
Wish you the best!
Fairly normal! Not super common, but also not unheard of.

I don’t see why not.
No, that is too early to be honest
When you are ready, it is normal.
