If you're a bad mom then yes. You responded to people by saying you give your kid material things and basic needs. That doesn't make you a good parent, just means you provided the bare minimum or at best a good provider. You didn't say you do anything of substance to raise your kid. If you picked a deadbeat guy to have a kid with that alone might make you a poor mom depending on why you chose him as your BD.

Hypothetically, I wouldn't tell my kid his /her father is a bad guy even if he was a bad. I would rather let my child figure it out on his/her own. So, no, I don't think he should say that as it's an awful thing to do.
