Was the physical therapist being rude to my aunt?

She's not my aunt. Just a family friend, but she's like my aunt. Anyways, she lives with me, and she has walking issues, and she often has to hold on to my arm to get around, especially when we are at the store between the car, and the scooter she has to ride. She has a cane and walker but doesn't use them. A physical therapist visited yesterday to do an assessment. My aunt told him she has a walker, and cane, but that she often holds onto my arm to get around. In a slightly irritated tone, he said "so you'll use his arm to get around, but won't use your designated walker, and Cain?". My aunt was stuttering, and didn't know what to say. I felt kind of bad, but i do understand why the physical therapist asked that. Was he being rude at all by asking that?
