Jubilant men vs. jubilant women?

I've been described as having a jubilant personality, and I've noticed that due in large part to it, a lot of people see me as being somewhat "wild," "edgy," "intense," or "a bit of a wiseguy." While I have many friends, I know that there are some people who find my jubilance annoying. I also have a female friend, who like me, has a very jubilant personality and many friends. Because of her jubilance, I could easily describe her as "edgy" and "intense." However, I have never known anyone who finds her jubilance annoying, though I have heard people describe her as "creepy in a Stepford Wife-like way." Has anyone else observed that men and women that are jubilant are frequently perceived by others along the lines that my friend and I are and if so, why do you perceived them differently?
