My crush un-tagged himself on a Facebook photo?

The guy I like is my co-worker. He, my friend (his acquaintance) and I took a photo together on my last day of work for the semester. The guy I like and my friend are both graduating in May so I want to take a few photos with them before they graduate and leave me alone.

I tagged both of them on FB. Only three of my FB friends like the photo. The rest (like 7-8) were his friends. The only thing that's wrong in the photo is his "wanna-be" gang sign that he did himself. My friend and I look normal with our smiles, trying not to laugh at him. It was supposed to be a goofy photo.

I just want to know why he would un-tag himself from the photo. The photo had two comments (one of my friends and the other was one of his friends) from when the picture was uploaded. I don't understand why would he do that. I feel like he doesn't even like me as a person. I honestly felt heartbroken.

Could it be that he realized I liked him? I mean, I did praise him for his photography. I told him how talented he was and asked him about a few of his projects.


I commented on a photo telling him that one of his photos (a nature one; no people around) was my favorite. I also liked two pictures (one of nature and one of him and his roommates).

Did he give you any sign that he didn't like you as a person? I untag pictures of myself too, sometimes just because I don't like the way I look in that picture. If he really would mind, he'd ask you to take it down, or delete you from Facebook or something.

Or, what is the best idea, you could ask him.

The next time I will see him is on Wednesday at a party at his place (his roommate invited me). He really doesn't show much emotion at work and treats all of us kinda the same. I thought we were getting along since he agreed to take a photo with me. I mean, we are still FB friends and he didn't ask me anything. I want to ask him but I feel like he might think I'm taking it personally (which I am) but I don't want to ruin my image as being cool and collected.

Your image shouldn't be on your mind, just ask him what you wanna know. Life is so difficult but 80% of those difficulties are created by ourselves because we make things too hard for us.

well maybe he only realized how unflattering the photo is of him. Don't worry too much about it! I recently had a picture with one of my close guy friend and I had to untag it because I look like a chipmunk :(

Some people are willing to take pics with you.. but don't want everyone they know to see them... if he isn't tagged in your photo, the only friends of his that can see it, are mutual friends you have.

Why would you untag yourself though? It's like, why agree to take a photo then? And he's been tagged in other ones but he has only untagged himself on mine.

When you let someone else tag you, it puts the pic out under their privacy settings, not yours.
