The Deplorable 7: Fashion Trends I Hate the Most

Of many fashion trends, the following are the ones I have a difficulty seeing anything beautiful in. Do you agree?

Number 1: Men's Short Pants

These are somehow feminine, especially when worn as a classic look.

Number Two: Men's Long Shirts

Seriously? Just put on some tights and you got a purely feminine look!

Number 3: The long beard with the side-parted hair.

I can't remember when I last didn't see a young man who just has a normal beard with normal hair (I am exaggerating for a reason lol).

Many men are becoming replica of each other.

Now, let's go to women!

Number 4: The girly salopette

I believe this is only for teenager girls. If you are 26 and wearing this, it's ridiculous. There are many ways of wearing jeans in a suitable way: pants, shirts, skirts, etc

Number 5: This Type of Jumpsuits

There are a lot of types of jumpsuits. There are nice ones, basically the straight ones. But the ones like this are just ugly.

Number 6: The Black Nails and Lipstick

I find black lipstick and nails ugly and animalistic.

Number 7: Too high heels

I believe that wearing too high heels all the time exposes a big lack of self-confidence. A woman who always wears very high heels is probably trying to camouflage her height. Even if a woman is short, she should embrace her body and not expose it to pain and deformation just to look 'sexy'.

I wanted to start by saying that some people pull off certain styles, no matter how crazy. It just works for them, so I'm not really 100% against any of these "trends" or hate on them. Everyone is free to choose, as long as they are wearing clothes and looks decent.

The only thing that really seems off to me, like really silly and out of place is the long shirt. But I guess it might have something to do with the model being skinny anyway. Let's give that shirt to a more athletic person and I do believe it should look really good. Like some Chinese traditional clothing.

Regarding the short pants, I'm more concerned about them models looking like they are not wearing any socks in those shoes. Imagine the stench.
Even if they wear those "invisible socks", the ankle is visible. So wear a god damn colourful sock and I'm ok with the length of the pants, as long as the sock covers the ankle.

The rest of them: i like black lipstick, what's the difference between black and red or purple?

The salopette is ok-ish too. Not in that specific arrangement. I would drop the shoes since shoes are supposed to be classy and bring a pair of colourful New Balance or maybe some Originals from Adidas. Also instead of the sweater, a t-shirt with some cleavage.

The jumpsuit. I've seen one on a girl. Looks like a pyjama, but it complimented the girl's lean physique. Her bum was standing out in that and jiggling. So a sight to see. If she's ok with people taking a peek at her bum, then why should I complain about the clothes

I'm tall and still like wearing high heels. Has nothing to do with my confidence because 99% of the time, someone is telling me "I" specifically "should not," be wearing them because I am tall, meaning people tend to have a negative reaction as opposed to a good one to me wearing heels. It's just an accessory like any other. If you like it, wear it, and my confidence doesn't come from someone's approval of me or disapproval, so I still wear them.

I have no arguments with your list however, because we all like or dislike what we do. Fashion is such a subjective thing. A lot of it is weird, or just not our personal style, and that's totally fine.

I had honestly never noticed the short pants thing and now they annoy me lol. Number 2 is just ridiculous and I like number 3 although your point is super valid. It's gotten to a point where I'm constantly waving hi to a guy friend only to find out it was a completely different guy.

I hate number 4, it's way too childish. I don't mind number 5 and I never wear black lipstick, but I think it looks gorgeous. I never wear heels too so number 6 is indifferent to me, I'm just amazed at some women's ability to walk on those torture instruments all the time.

Agreed, except high heel. I dont know what did you mean by too high. I think wearing high heels makes a girl more attractive, so desirable. There's a scientific explanation that due to high heel you put most of the body weight on your toe. Where did you get that evidence? I only heard of studies saying that high heels can cause feet deformation, and in this picture you can see that! Look at the round formations in the legs.

Agreed, heels do amazing things for my legs and backside. Also in a workplace dominated by tall males I'm absolutely taken more seriously on days I'm in heels and a blazer

Some men are built in a way that requires a tall shirt. But the example above is of men clearly abusing the privilege. I only go so tall and no taller, because I don't want my belly showing to the whole world if I have to stretch. Those shirts above are way taller than what would be necessary to prevent that, and look like they were designed for someone who's 500 pounds or more. A petite, skinny dude has no excuse to wear that.

to be elegant and manly.

Oh, and the too-short pants for the guys is simply the wrong slack with the wrong shoe, or a defunct or missing tailor. Guys are too lazy to properly hem their slacks. :)

Yea I totally understand how you feel , especially with the korea trends now. The hair style look just like sh i t, and they always wear some long ass shirt , and short pants. shoes and bag with spike on them. And they are expensive as fuk. fluffy hair style and look just like an ass crack. Now I see chinese kid all the time in my city. They asll just put all the most expensive stuff on their body. I can handle the men's pants, and the dark lip and nail combo depends on the girl andbthe rest of her make up and outfit. Black is a bit full on. But maybe a super dark, grungy red? Very nive.

I see it as an artificial confidence. There are women who wear high heels just to impress men, which is shows a lack of confidence in who they are.

All women wear heels to attract men they know what affect it has on men. I was talking day to day occurence, like girls who are professional jobs. If a girl is not feeling confident good chance she will avoid drawing any attention to her. However if she is confident she will be happy to wear heels. It also shows in their attitude.
