Girls, do you have or want a thigh gap?

I think as long as you’re not a full circle shape and lost your figure, most guys will find you attractive wether you have a thigh gap or not...
As long as you resemble a human female shape and nit a circle.
But what I have noticed in difference between someone who has a thigh gap and someone who doesn’t... is that from behind when you slightly bend over either standing or laying on your side, without panties girls with high gaps give a more full look into their pussy... which in my opinion well it’s more eye opening? Lol You can see the full pussy everything... as oppose to someone without gaps, while bending over or bent while laying sideways, you can’t see the full thing perhaps only a bit if anything at all.. you’d have to open yourself more up either opening legs more or using your hands to open, while the ones with thigh gaps you can see everything while only slightly bending...
And perhaps that’s the reason a lot of guys prefer it? ... pussy seems more exposed?
I don’t know that’s just a plausible reason..
I don’t have a thigh gap and I don’t wish to have one. I do love my legs the way they are.
I am 25 years old and I have a partial thigh gap. My upper thighs touch, however my lower thighs (by my knees) do not.
My female friends point it out often, however to me it's not a huge deal. Like it's my body, I'm healthy weight, and I'm a small petite thing at 5ft 1, i'm about 112lbs and tiny.
My mother has the same shape as me. More of a rectangular shape, and her thighs touch.
Honestly this trend is ridiculous and shouldn't even be a trend among society.
Same with that stomach reaching trend I see everywhere, where you are supposed to reach around your left side with your right arm, and see if you can touch your belly button. That will define how thin you are.
like WTF
These things have to STOP.
I love thigh gaps, but only when their legs aren't as skinny as the pictures shown there. Their legs are a bit too skinny. Which is still preferable to fat thighs. The skinny legs are okay, but not ideal. I love the thigh gaps where they have good looking thighs and just have a gap at the top. Gah. It's hard to describe, so I'll just post a pic.

That, maybe a bit more of a gap going down a bit further, is my ideal preference. The skinny legs are second, but they kinda look too skinny.
And I don't know what it is that men like about it. I think it's just one of those things. Like boobs. Can't really describe why people like boobs. They just do.
i am a guy and i don't find them attractive. not that i find them unattractive it just doesn't register one way or another
it seems like just another unnecessary way people can scrutinize themselves and others needlessly

I think body shape trends are terrible because you can't choose or change your shape.
It's horrifyingly, disturbingly, projectile-vomit-inducingly unattractive, as are all the symptoms of anorexia: the xenomorph protruding spinal cord, the xylophone ribs, the moustache, the bad skin, the death breath, the mental illness... and the leg gap. Because a 'thigh gap' would actually be OK, but this is a whole leg gap, which is wrong. Legs are meant to have muscles (in fact they contain the largest muscles in the body), spaghetti legs are fugly. They don't even look like legs, they're more like microphone stands.
A woman should naturally have three gaps where daylight can shine through between her legs, one at the very top, one above her knees (naturally what a 'thigh gap' is meant to be) and one below her knees. Fewer gaps than this and she's too fat, more and she's too thin.
This is not opinion-based, but biology based, even the fact that it's unattractive is biological and not subjective, as a normally functioning brain should instinctively be able to tell a gap-legged woman is physically or mentally ill or both, and is unfit to bear children.
The best-looking legs are the one that get used, they're not just for show. Using them for things like walking (posing for selfies doesn't count) keeps them toned and stops the muscles from atrophying away to nothing. Remember this: no anorexic woman has ever won a credible beauty contest, no anorexic woman has ever won an Olympic medal, no anorexic woman has ever been a centrefold model - so where do these people get the idea that being anorexic is going to make them more attractive - to whom? A hungry dog looking for a bone to chew?
First, unless you're in a swim suite, why are you wearing clothes in public that show that off? Yoga pants, leggings or jeggins are really not leaving enough to the imagination. 2nd: Different strokes for different folks. Most guys (myself included) don't think about Thigh Gaps and don't care. Some guys may find them sexy, but it's pretty superficial to spend much time on it. Like other's have said, it has a lot to do with your genes (not your jeans - your biology). Some girls could be really skinny (for them) and never have a thigh gap while others are naturally thinner and can't seem to put on weight and couldn't loose the gap if they wanted to. I personally kind of like thinner girls, but I also appriciate curves. The pictures of the girls with thigh gaps look like they are either prepubescent or sick. Please worry about being healthy first. If you are healthy and have a gap, great. If you are healthy and there is no light between your thighs, that's great too. Treat yourself as if you were somebody that you care about.
Used to have one... I was severe underweight 3 years ago... I was around 5.5 and weight around 70 lbs... But i started to practice sports to gain muscle, and. Also eat in order to gain some weight... Now im healthier im 5.7 and almost duble my weight from back then... And I'm happy... Im still fit, im between size 6 and 8... i have no tight gap, because they are rather muscular.. But it couldn't bother me less... Im healthy and happy and i love. My body and my stretch marks because they show my progress
I think it’s harmful not just to girls, but to guys as well. It sets up a stupid stigma, it’s a trend, it’s another way for girls to obsess and freak out over their bodies and another impossible standard for guys to drool over. Overall, it’s a ridiculous idea for all people to judge someone on, opening up to thinner girls being labeled with an eating disorder and heavier girls as fat.
Some girls are built to where their bodies can have a thigh gap, others aren’t. Some girls weigh less or more than others, resulting in a thigh gap. There’s already a new big trend starting, something about the pelvic area of a girl being called a triangle? When are people going to stop making up these ideals? It’s never ending.
I’ve learned what looks best for my body and I work on what’s good for me, not something that isn’t healthy for me or is just a body trend.
Thigh gaps exist because everyone is unique in anatomy and physiology and it has nothing to do with being fit, slender, overweight, etc., it has all to do with bone structure, specifically the width of your hips relative to the length of your femoral head, or the highest part of your thigh bone. You are either born with a wide gap, or you’re not; the existence of a thigh gap is falsely perceived as an attribution to a slender build. The size of your thigh gap is relative to your bone structure, not your weight.
Thigh gaps cannot exist on people with thick thighs. It has nothing to do with bones. Everybody technically would have a thigh gap when there's only femur bones, without adipose tissue and muscles, but it's these that fill the thigh gap.
It depends. Most girls who have thigh gaps are naturally really attractive to me, but not because of the thigh gap, but because those ladies are usually in great shape and have great genetics. I have no preference between the look of a butt with a thigh gap and a butt without one. The girls in the above picture for instance are not particularly attractive to me, and the thigh gap did not win them any points. I am sure they are pretty girls, ans their hair is amazing, but I prefer someone shaped like Amy Poehler or Aly Raisman lol
I don't like the skinny thigh gap. I like how the third one looks, it's similar to mine.
This is the thigh gap I like and want to keep. www.xplosivegrowth.com/.../...ap-feature-image.png
I'm with you.
If I would date a women of that first pic, it would be like heaven. It would drive me crazy.
I think that first girl looks like a child or is somewhat unhealthy. There are very healthy athletes who have a gap. I admit that is sexy, but only when they are adults and healthy. E. g. checkout the soloflex models.
@jdrrichmond I think that you mean second, not first,
Aren't the top two pics (side by side) the same girl?
@jdrrichmond I meant Jemini's picture which we are replying. That left one would absolutely drive me crazy.
I find the thigh gap trend is really annoying. If you naturally have a thigh gap, I’m fine with that. As long as you don’t have a thigh gap just because it’s a trend, I’m fine.
I don’t understand why people always desire the most difficult or the unique things, and then get sad when they don’t meet every point. That also happens to people who are not trying to chase the standards. I myself get sad, because I don’t have thigh gap, I don’t have tanned skin and blah blah blah.
Why can’t everybody just be pretty by being unique ne not having to fit the standards? Because of our society.
The gap puts my gf's vulv out there in my face when she is walking around nude. If she is over the sink putting on makeup her pretty vulv is looking back at me talking to me giving me a ho again. The shape of a pretty vulv is accentuated with some gap and I have a vulv fetish.
This picture sums it up perfectly for me.
Believe it or not, a thigh gap was originally a basis for claiming a woman's legs spent too much time apart/open (i. e. she was having a lot of illicit sex/she was a prostitute, etc.) I think it's just another way to ridicule women based on their weight, just another way to body shame.
Most guys don't care. If you look good then you look good; it is that simple. Lots of these trends for women are stupid and most guys don't care or think they look ugly. For example, 99% of guys can't tell the difference between a fake and real type of clothing, yet women buy them all the time and think they look better for it. Most fashion things, like the one you said is ment to impress other women and not guys.
I really don’t understand why a thigh gap is a thing. I mean, it’s just how much space you have between your thighs, literally. Why is that even relevant? Even in bed, when you’re having sex, you’re gonna spread your legs anyway and then there’ll really be a gap, because that’s how it functions. Does it have to matter aesthetically?
What would be wrong with having a thigh gap at all? Just like, what would be wrong with having no thigh gap? Why do we have to keep women competing against each other? If a girl wants to wear slightly revealing clothes and makeup, and have a YouTube career, then let them. If a girl wants to wear t-shirt with jeans and no makeup, and play video games all day, then let them. STOP PITTING GIRLS AGAINST EACH OTHER! IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE. IT'S JUST MAKING EVERYONE LOOK LIKE A**HOLES!
Men who like thigh gaps generally don't understand how one achieves a thigh gap. It isn't something every woman can achieve. On top of being thin you have to have wide-set hips. It's genetic and unachievable for many. Not to mention comes at the expense of other physical features men find attractive.
@furqan112 Wide-set hips refers to the bone structure of hips. It's a common phrase in English used to describe a specific type of bone structure in the hips. And yes genetics implies biological traits that can not be changed. Am I correct in guessing that English isn't your first language? Or is wide-set hips not used outside of Canada?
It's a very good question. Ultimately, it doesn't (or shouldn't) matter. If you're with a guy and it's an important thing to him, he might be superficial and shallow.
It also doesn't seem very realistic that women (especially) have such narrow thighs.
The bottom line is; it doesn't matter what you look like. It's how you act, how you treat others that matters. ;)
I find it unattractive, it makes a woman look extremely thin, borderline anorexic, it just shouts "I'm starving myself to look like this".
Obviously some people have it naturally, but many really force themself into unhealthy habits like starvation or litterally trying to bend their muscles just to have a thigh gap.
Most guys don't care much one way or the other. It's women who are obsessed with the idea because a handful of men mentioned it at some point.
I would say that it's probably a minor "plus" for a lot of guys, but certainly not a high priority for the the vast majority.
Actually I used to have a thigh gap. I was skinny my entire life. But put a lot of effort into eating a lot and I eventually gained 20 pounds. I don't have a thigh gap anymore and I am at a healthy weight and my bmi is healthy. So from my experience thigh gaps are usually people who are underweight.
@vaibhav29 Thank you 😊
