Leather or fabric jacket?

Winter is here, cold and nice weather time to bring out your jacket and get some good fashion outfits.
So I am thinking about buying a leather jacket, it is a bit expensive, I have one but not black and i don't like the design that much, so I am guessing black biker jacket since I got more into shape would look bad ass... Well your vote please.
And in general, ladies which one do you prefer on a guy?

leather all the way! some people dislike leather jackets saying it's animal cruelty and whatever. but personally i do prefer legit leather jackets even though a decent one is around $500 but as it starts to mold to your body over time, it gives it that vintage look, and if taken care of properly a legit leather product turns to a lifetime investment and you can even pass it down to your children or grand kids when they become an adults. with fake leathers, it smells like latex, rubber, and after 1 to 3 years, they usually start cracking around the elbows, armpit, and other areas where you tend to move a lot.

I have a punk rock leather jacket. Bought since February this year. Since in Vietnam it's a tropical climate country so it's damn hot to wear these. Only at the final months of the year when the weather's cooling down a bit then I'll consider it again. Therefore, usually when I go to my gigs playing music I'd have fabric shirts / jackets.

I prefer fabric, just because it's not an animal product. I'm vegetarian and while I don't find it specifically unattractive for guys to not be vegetarian, I consider it a positive when they are.

Although leather looks more badass, in the cold the fabric would be more ideal as I know first hand that leather does NOT insulate well and will be more likely to give you the chills faster :/

Oh yeah, they look good but if you're after warmth then I would suggest the fabric, but if you just want the looks I would say the leather :)

I like the style of the fabric more... but I love how leather feels... I'd pick the leather for me.. but here is say the fabric looks better overall...

Yeah i remember being in school and this kid had a fabric jacket. Wow did i give my mom and dad problems cause i wanted a fabric jacket. I had a nylon coat but wanted one that was fabric.
