As an overweight guy I know I will be wearing a shirt at the beach. That’s for the individual to decide what they want to wear but they must be accountable for their decisions. If she is overweight in a bikini and gets looks from others, that shouldn’t be taken as offensive.
Everyone should be able to wear what they want. I don’t care how much someone weighs. We are all humans and all have our preferences. I agree some people would have a problem with an overweight girl wearing a bikini which is sad because it really just shouldn’t concern them at all
Bikinis aren’t for skinny girls only, but I don’t think they’re for everyone either. Like, if you could be on My 600lb Life, you should probably not wear bikinis.
I think women should make that choice. Maybe I like it, maybe I don't but it's not my call. "Ohh Nohhh! Here come the Bikini Police! You're in trouble now!"
I chose anyone... the red and white polka dots, borderline for my tastes! On the same level, I've seen Ladies too thin for a bikini , bones sticking out like a pin cushion !
All that being said ; it really shouldn't matter to anyone except the one wearing the bikini ; if she's comfortable, let it be, no one's forcing you to look! Dont scoff or judge, someone's looking at You as well!
Sorry but even if you are confident about your body not all bodies can pull off wearing bikinis. You have to be realistic.

I don't think that my opinion should influence anyone on what that person should wear, except my kids at younger age...
They can wear whatever, even go out naked, why should I care?
Yes, I would not enjoy the view when fat woman wearing it as much as fit one, but such is life, not everything will be pleasant to me, I'm fine with it.

Everyone should be able to wear whatever they want, but there's something to be said for wearing what most flatters your body. Bikinis are considered sexy on certain body types because they accentuate those features (for example toned stomachs, or for the very lean) while one pieces or other style might complement overall one's body shape. Wearing something that isn't comfortable or flatting because you think it's the standard for looking "good" isn't productive and I think it ultimately makes us less happy that we don't consider this with more nuance
We are held to a bar set way too high. It makes people anorexic. Now, I'm fluffy and I don't care. But people are ridiculous with what's considered overweight and what isn't
Of course any woman should be able to wear a bikini no matter their body weight, not everyone’s skinny and that’s ok bikinis were invented for everyone
I think you would have to be an asshole to say that overweight girls shouldn’t wear bikinis.
But this is true in our society. It’s an IMPLIED RULE that fat women shouldn’t wear bikinis in public. Or that women with big stomachs should be ashamed of themselves
@Mellontikos different people like different things. There are some men who prefer fat women. There are women willing to go out with fat men too. You can’t generalize people that way
you didn't really post any one most men would find overweight. but (lets be clear im morbidly obese) your clothing should fit well no matter your size. if it causes flesh to apear to hang over or painted on you probably need a mentor to teach you how to dress correctly.
the first photo. if her bikini were very tight she woulf be viewed very poorly as well
In my opinion when you go to the beach or pool, you are in an environment where you're suppose to let loose. Being plus sized shouldn't stop you from showing some skin in the hot sun. It's for hot for sakes! Let it hang out!
I believe that what someone wears should be up to them, if they feel comfortable in what they choose... and happy about that then i say whose business is it other than the person wearing what they choose to wear?
Yeah. Even if she’s overweight, I’d have to personally see her in the bikini to see whether I like it on her or not. Likewise, even if she’s the “right” weight, I’d still have to see the bikini on that specific woman to determine if I like
Sure. I mean.. most of the time I see someone wearing speedos, it’s overweight older men so I don’t see why women of all ages/sizes shouldn’t be given the same privileges.

Completely agree.. I'm a skinny girl but you shoudnt feel down on yourself we are all beautiful and all come in are own shapes and sizes.

provided the suit fits there body type, covers what it needs to cover, doesn't expose to much, and flatters there body type.
I see no really issues. however many tend to wear suits that revel. more then is ideal amount for there body types that is.
i. e. 2 sizes 2 small
plus just because something is made in there size. does not mean it will flatter there body type well.

Man is that what you girls think fat is? She looks perfectly fine to me.
It’s a good pic of her tbh Gemma Collins if you google her you will find her overweight

You are right
Told you lol

Totally up to the wearer, if they feel confident enough to do so, then what does it matter?
But... We all have a responsibility to ourselves and we have to shoulder part of the blame.
Common sense really is simple!
I’m no expert but I think that bikinis have plenty of variety and hence they work for all body types.
But honestly if a girl feels comfortable and confident in a bikini then she can rock it and look great in it regardless of size

Should men with a big stomach be ashamed of themselves?
@Mellontikos it’s much more acceptable for a man to be fat than a woman to be fat
But would you date one. It doesn't matter if it's more acceptable. If women won't date him the he's still losing.
I agree

It's all fun and games until somebody abuses the privilege.
Sure.
