only reason I ask this question is I know plenty of people who would have issues or point out if a over weight girl was wearing a bikini. What do you think?

No. Not because they're "not fit or not". I think some small "fit" women who wear them, & it doesn't look right. It just doesn't look right. Some can rock it & some cannot. Size isn't what determines it.
