Have any of you made or worn these?

We decided to stop at a supermarket and grab some snacks for the beach. When we got there, my friend looked through her bag for her flip flops to go in the store, but they weren't in there and she left them at home, so she ended up not having any actual shoes, just these beach accessories with no soles. She still decided to go in the store with me, we got everything we wanted, and no one seemed to notice or care that she was barefoot in the store. Lol just a funny story with these, I think they are cute, what do you think?

Me and a friend went to the beach some time ago. When she got into the car she was wearing a pair of these "soleless sandals" that she bought on Etsy or Ravelry, not this exact pair here but something like this. I had never heard of them before. As you can see it is a cute and inexpensive accessory, but they don't have soles.

They're also called barefoot sandals. I have a couple pair but they don't look like that.

I go barefoot a lot & I like to decorate my feet. 👣👣 As you saw for yourself they can also fool people into thinking you have sandals on, & you don't get kicked out for going barefoot.

Do you wear them often when it's warm? Have they saved you from getting kicked out of places?

Yes & sometimes.

They aren't foolproof, but at a quick or sidelong glance they look like I'm wearing sandals. Looking closer or longer the other person may see my bare soles & realize that I'm barefoot.

My friend wasn't planning on going barefoot, she just had to since she forgot to bring her shoes 😆 What's it like going barefoot all the time? Is it safe? Are the floors of places clean where you live?

I've enjoyed going barefoot my whole life. I love feeling the ground, the grass & other things under my feet & between my toes.

As for safe my soles are pretty hard & broken glass, nails & other things aren't as common as some believe they are. I've stepped in more gross things than dangerous things.

Some floors are relatively clean, others not. But feet are washable.

Does going barefoot all the time wear out and ruin your pedicures? What do you do to not have calluses on your soles?

I wear them occasionally in summer, like if I'm going to the beach or just going to the grocery store and don't bother to put on any sandals. I did once go on a road-trip wearing nothing but those though, since I forgot to bring any shoes or sandals.

Have you ever had issues when running errands wearing these instead of shoes? Is it more comfortable for you to not wear shoes when you go out during the summer?

No, I never ran into any issues when I wore them, except that my feet got dirty. In summer, if I'm not barefoot I wear sandals because it's just too hot otherwise. Sometimes I prefer wearing sandals, but when just going out casually it's nice to just wear these barefoot sandals instead.

Do you wear crochet ones like in the picture or do you prefer beaded ones? Most of the time I've seen teh beaded ones be used for weddings only

Is it that you like feeling the textures of the store floors, or do you go shopping with just these on because you didn't feel like putting on actual shoes? I guess going to the beach or shopping wearing just these gives you one less thing to think about, and it is stylish at the same time

I only wear the ones with beads and the ones that are made out of chains if that makes sense? Like they are a bit more decorative and covers more of the foot with metal parts as well.

Store floors do feel nice under my bare feet, but part of it is just laziness I guess. I never wear any shoes or socks in my house (about socks I haven't worn any in over a decade), but these barefoot sandals don't have a sole so sometimes I put them on in the morning, then when I'm about to go out for an errand I just don't bother taking them off and putting on some sandals instead.

does going out and about barefoot ruin your pedicure at all? Also what do you wear with the soleless sandals? The whole "barefoot lifestyle" thing is unusual to me

It depends how long I go out but at times it can ruin it, that's why I only do it in such casual settings. I mainly wear them with knee-length skirts and dresses, but sometimes I wear longer skirts or dresses, and on some occasions I might wear tight jeans.

Do you get to go places barefoot because the soleless sandals hide teh fact that your barefoot? Or do you just live in a place where its common and no one cares?

Noone really cares where I live, I would not say it's common for people walking around barefoot, but I've never gotten in trouble for doing it. The worst that has happened is that some people look and give me a frown, or they ask me why I'm barefoot. I've never tried to enter any fancy place barefoot though.

My friend I wrote this post about, I don't know if she's ever gone somewhere after then wearing these barefoot since the, but I bet going out and about wearing soleless sandals would be more common and more accepted if more people knew about them, it's a shame more people don't since most pair are more stylish than most flat sandals

Yes I think they are fashionable, although not sure everyone would want to wear them

I read someone else earlier say that these last almost forever for her since they have no soles, and when she wears these out and about sometimes instead of shoes, her summer shoes last longer. Like if she goes barefoot and wears these to to run her errands half the time, instead of wearing her flats or whatever every time, her shoes last longer since there being less used so she doesn't have to replace them as much. Another advantage to this I guess for people who like it and can do it where they live. Merry Christmas by the way

Do you have links where you bought the pairs you have? My friend might want to get them, and who knows maybe she will start wearing them like you do. I don't know if she's worn them into a store like that since then but she likes wearing them

Yes I had some of mine for more than 10 years. I didn't buy any online, usually I buy them in small family owned shops.
