Then I'm wearing yoga pants often like wtf I never used to do this..
Have you gotten lazy with your appearance since the pandemic?
Then I'm wearing yoga pants often like wtf I never used to do this..
Yea I have. But I am way happier because of it! So I still work out and stay in shape. But I completely stopped my makeup when the lockdowns started and I used to apply that heavy every day. I have also stopped with my eyelashes/brows as you said and don't bother with tanning, body hair shaving (but my pubic and armpit hairs since I find them itchy), or nails.
Since then I have thrown all my makeup out since I find my skin is so much clearer and healthy without it. I still only shave my armpits and pubic hair, no brows or lashes which saves so much time and pain. I basically only style my hair a little before going out which means mostly just brushing and shampooing it.
It's also funny I have worn a bra once since this started. It was when my first back in-person classes started and I was nervous to go without there since I always used to wear them to school. But my breasts hurt so much that I have not worn one since then lol.
But there are some things I'm not too proud of but I'm not stopping. Like yesterday it was 65f out and I wore Ugg boots lol.
I'm trying not to simp but 😂 you're an angel!
Yes, can I dm you
Yeah... the tough part is that work has been dead, and people still seem terrified of having big in person events - and my job is a vendor for big events.
I've always had small issues with weight, but I've ballooned up a little. I have a lot of stressed time is limited, so working out isn't much of an option.
I'm not horrible, but the buttons are straining again, and it doesn't look good. I'm supposed to be looking for good shirts, (and pants) because most of my clothes are getting a little worn, getting tiny holes, etc, but I don't seem to be able to find anything inexpensive that fits well and looks good, so I just go for cheap and roomy right now. I'd prefer to not buy clothes online (can't try them on).
But I am trying to keep up with the basics. Nails trimmed, watch the beard/stubble, comb the hair. I'd like to do more with making a purposeful effort to look better, but that was a goal for 2020, and things have been derailed all over.
Though to be fair, I'm not a good looking guy, so on the one hand, I have to probably work much harder to be presentable, but on the other hand, that's probably the best I can hope for - looking presentable, so why put in all the extra time and effort? I'd need probably five hours a day to work out, and I just don't have the patience for it.
No I'm the opposite. Before this whole pandemic I lost a lot of weight and was worried about putting it back on and I did start to put a bit back on, but this gave me the push to do everything to lose it again which I did.
As far as actual appearance I have shaved hair and a beard, so that doesn't take much maintaining.
Yeah I've definitely lost weight but I need to tone it up. Bald must be nice 😂
During the pandemic, I stopped wearing makeup due to wearing a mask every time I went out and I've been staying home a lot. I wear my pajamas all day. I work in healthcare so I wear scrubs all day and when I get home put my pajamas on. I even put my pajamas back on when I come home from the store lol. When places started to open back up, I went tanning that was nice to go back tanning. I even learned how to cut my own face framing layers the right way since my hair stylist does not do it the correct way.

Im exctly like you post your comment I have gone totally lazy about my appearance tht is for sure. I dotn care anymore for my looks at all beause for the reason you stated in ur post: " I'm not going anywhere why spend all this money". That is also my reason. I had been totally neglected about my looks or apperance. Im not even hanging out with my friends either beaue for the pandemic we are all taking care of ourselves and not gathering we only chat through Whatassp, we know that sometime we wil have to gather and catch up but is not now maybe until next year.
Hey you do you, people have other things on their mind even before the pandemic. If you're going to do anything to yourself you should do it for yourself because the person who looks at you the most is yourself 😊☺️
❤❤ love that sis
I've gotten lazy but if I ever meet a girl to be my partner I don't really have high expectations for that XD. If she is messy hair style but cute, fun, and has a blessed attitude I'm more than happy to overlook messy and or overgrown hair for that XD.
Yes I have. I gained a lot of weight, stopped caring about my hair and I haven't been taking care of my skin. I used to make a green clay mask every Sunday but now I have no patience for it.
Honestly I'm starting to lose hope and believing that this pandemic will never be over.
It’s been the opposite for me. We’re still in lockdown here in Australia and I’m taking more care of myself. I see the lockdown as time that’s been given to me to get ahead. It’s paradoxical because we’re not getting ahead, but in terms of gaining mental clarity and unwinding, it’s been a gift especially for someone who is always on the go and busy, it’s been good if I’m honest.
I sleep in more and it’s better quality sleep. I take time to take care of my skin with face masks and relaxing baths etc.
I interact with things that make me happy and I get to spend more time with my cats. It’s had an amazing effect on my mental health, which is crazy if you think about it.
The pandemic had literally no negative effect on me. I was never a girl who wore makeup to begin with. If anything I got healthier and tried new creative things at home.
I feel so sad for some people. Over the looks thing. I mean I have a lot of problems but in my mind I always feel like I can take the pain. Others perhaps can't deal with the horror of it so well. It makes me very sad. I dont mean to virtue signal, it is rare I even speak on such things.
My way of taking care of me has always been very simple.
I have a pair of sport clothing that looks elegant, and I use for everything. I just shower daily, after exercise, and that's all.
I simply eat well, exercise daily and sleep in abundance. That's my way of looking good.
I don't use any product on my skin. I spray deodorizing salts directly on my clothing. I don't cut my hair, I like it long and wild.
Dont forgot hydration. Water is key but you will not hear much about it because there is no money to be made in telling people to drink water. Water has I think probably the most important thing for good health. Because I live terrible lifestyle but I've always drank a lot of water I think it's kept me up to this point I'm almost 50. I don't expect water to cure cancer or anything but we all are made of 75% water. And I have seen a lot of faces dry up. Before they died
@lasher010 It's hard for me to suffer dehydration. My breakfast alone is nearly all the daily quantity of recommended water, as I drink a hole smoothy tank.
When I leave home I usually carry with me an hydration bag of 3L.
During the pandemic, I was glad that I didn't have to go out in public. I felt obligated to wear makeup every time I went out. After leaving my skin makeup-free, I was able to let my skin breathe for once. I suffered from acne for a while but after giving myself a break, my complexion has improved.
I worked a lot on zoom so i would but on my makeup and because most of my outfits for work are dresses i would still be my full work self at home i even wear my heels at home too, well pandemic would not stop that all i really own are heels.
Personal care or just getting dolled up once in a while can boost your self confidence and just put you in a more productive mood.
So maybe you can try it again even if it's not as often as you did before the pandemic
Probably to one degree or another, many people have. Not going to work everyday, working from home, many places shut down. I know I have not kept my appearance up to what it was when going into work every day.
At the beginning of the pandemic I worked out sm, cause i thought of going back to collage with a really nice body. Then quarantine in my country kept extending... now I've graduated college, am still in quarantine, honestly my weight and appearance is the last thing I could care about. 😕
I just pretty much stopped wearing makeup as often as I used to. Now I can go weeks without wearing it and I only wear it when I’m going out with friends for drinks and stuff. Other than that I go out bare face with lip balm and glasses.
Yes 💀 And everytime i go to get it together, i dont keep it up. I quit after like 2 days each week 😂😭
😂😂 girl. Yeah I need to get it together. I started working out for 2 days then stopped. Imma keep my hair braided though since it's the summer.
I love how i look with braids but theyre too painful to sleep in cause i prefer to sleep on my back
I don't shave as often as I would normally. Maybe once a week now instead of every day. Basically only when it gets annoying.
Otherwise, I spend far more time in pyjamas than I used to...
Nah, pandemic actually found me an excuse to buy more casual clothes instead of business and as you know buying any new clothing makes you want to go out more and show.
Actually, I worked out a lot more and increased wearing form-flattering clothes to flaunt my improved physique.
Not really.
I'm still working.
And I still work out and go for walks as much as before.
I shave twice a week maybe. I went on a job interview and remembered what a pain in the ass it is to get dressed up.
