Why would someone pay $500 for a simple shirt like this?

Black tee with the word GIVENCHY (designer brand) in the middle front. A lot of designers make shirts like these, with simply the logo and no creativity, so there has to a demographic of people that are complacent with spending hundreds of dollars on them. But why? The "design" is worth like $20, anyone can make a custom shirt like this.

I have no idea. My wife buys a lot of designer clothes in resale shops, because they are of high quality and look fabulous. Occasionally I buy them for her for a gift. For Christmas I bought her two pairs of boots at about $300 each, one from Gucci, one from YSL. Neither shows any wear. The Gucci boots were about $1500 new, the YSL about $2000.

Other than playing a character on TV though, no, you shouldn't be stupid enough to pay $500 for a shirt unless you're a stalker and got it off eBay because Belle Delphine's sweat is in it or some other pathetic sh*t.

People pay for garbage like this because of the name brand. They do it for status. That is literally what the ENTIRE fashion industry is: Buying social credit and making people think you're cooler/richer than you really are. It's women who mostly fall for this, especially with those ugly Louis Vuitton or Gucci bags. They aren't even high quality; they're literally just paying for the status. And for men, iPhones are basically the same equivalent. Aside from maybe their cameras, iPhones are complete sh*t.

I've never been rich enough or stupid enough to fall for fashion trends though. I don't need to try to buy my way into popularity through some child-labor made fashion goods who's material and labor really only costs $2.

The brand and label is valued more than the shirt. You really think some minimum wage chump is walking around with that tee? Of course not, you see a guy/girl with that tee, you know they've got money to burn.

Lots of people are terrible at managing their money there is no reason for anyone to work two jobs anyone who can’t manage 30k a year will never make more because they’re bad with money and are going to have the same problems no matter how hard you work or make unless you start being more responsible with your capital
