There is no reason for them in a learning environment. But there is also no reason not to allow them. Well, except I suppose the distraction for the male half of the students. If there was an equivalent distraction for women availible perhaps it would be fair to the grading curve, but if anyone ever found something that got most women to start thinking of sex to the point that they couldn't think about their lessons, it'd sell like hotcakes.
But that's not even really a good reason. If all of high school was in the nude people would just get used to it after a couple of weeks. I'd equate it to stilts. Is there a reason anyone shouldn't be allowed to walk around high school on 4 foot stilts? Not really. It just makes things harder on everyone else for the benefit of no one at all.
I suppose there is a subtle reason, as well. Yoinger girls haven't yet learned what their generation will think of anyone perceived as a slut. So, wearing a miniskirt because it feels exhilarating might not alert you to all the girls who see it deciding you're definitely a whore until after the damage is done. Just banning it for everyone would avoid that drama altogether. Though, of course, other drama will just fill the void anyway..
I think the skirts that are longer then their finger tips are ok as long as they’re wearing shorts underneath is fair I mean what is your main reason for wanting to wear mini skirts that makes this issue that important for you? Do you think it would be distracting to other students not that what you wear means go or no go for weirdos but it is a fact that there are weirdos out there that do see it that way also there are girls that do dress certain ways to attract certain types of attention is it worth the trouble? Isn’t school for learning and not for a fashion show? Maybe if your high school was separated like ninth and tenth grade at one school then eleventh and twelfth grade at a different school then let the eleventh and twelfth graders choose whatever their standards should be so they get a chance to learn these things on their own so they can make their own informed choices from personal experience’s and hopefully the boys at that age will be a little more mature and know how to act. When one of my daughters was in the ninth grade some boys were harassing the girls in her class including the teacher and when they put their hands on my daughter she went to the principal and nothing was done so she told me and I went and scared the crap out of those boys and the school and superintendent and it actually changed those boys life’s but no other parent did anything and the principal wanted to ignore it and hope it would go away these boys all confessed and were in tears within 2 minutes they were threatening to even go to some of these girls homes and raping them. It’s a sad fact but it’s a fact
Yes. Boys can learn to focus and concentrate on their studies. Visible skin does NOT equate to male accessibility. The earlier they learn this, the more likely they are to understand that most women (not just 'the rare ones') are autonomous and are capable of being desirable AND intelligent.
The problem with dress codes is that it punishes the person wearing clothing, not the people making inappropriate comments, cyberbulling, or straight up engaging in sexual harassment. Anytime you restrict the standard, we sexualize what is outside that standard, now this can be wrists/ankles, hair, or extra ass.
If you can't control yourself in a classroom, then how are you going to control yourself in a board room, or a nightclub, or on vacation.
What about when a group of boys harass girls in their class when the girls wear longer skirts do you think they’d be more likely to be worse if girls wore shorter skirts? Also what about the fact that it does happen in school and you can’t trust the schools to protect your kids and a lot of teens think nothing is ever going to happen to them so they’ll make some really bad choices and sometimes there’s idiots out there that don’t know how to act right shouldn’t some precautions be taken?
My school uniform consisted of a skirt that was pleated at the bottom but it came down to about shin legnth, most girls rolled the top of the skirt, I ended up altering mine so I could actually use the pocket. It was very unflattering on a lot of students.

I don't have many pictures showing the legnth I and most people wore it, the above picture is a friend and I for a general idea. People wore it shorter which looked honestly stupid because it would go uneven. I think a bit above the knee is perfectly fine. We didn't have any issues.

I don't think it's necessary to wear them. Too short, too revealing. What's the point? Girls already wear super tight clothes or somewhat revealing clothes already, why do they need this too? Once you are done with high school, you can wear whatever you want. It's a waste to get worked up fighting the school for a extra small skirt when you should be focusing on getting your shit together. Graduating, getting good grades, knowing what you want to major in, getting good act or sat scores. About Guys wearing it, they can wear it once they graduate too. Even when you graduate, you'll still get people giving you shit. Slut shaming and guys will be accused for being gay or a cross dresser for wearing it. So even though you are fighting the school, you will still come across a lot of other people outside of school that'll give you a hard time too. You got to learn to pick and choose your fights. Hope I gave you some perspective. Good luck
Judging how sexualized that school uniform has become, I say yes. Purely for safety reasons and ethics. This until society has "matured" a bit more. Which I honestly doubt will happen. A school uniform isn't something to be sexualized. Especially if they are worn by minors.
"By the way boys are also should be allowed to wear miniskirts."
- I can bet that these same boys are not boys who will catch your interest in terms of attraction, yet you're advocating for this. No, boys shouldn't wear skirts because they aren't girls. When you grow older, and actually do some research in history, biology, psychology and even politics, you would realize that feminizing boys and masculating girls lead to disaster in people and even in society.
Judging how sexualized that school uniform has become, I say no*.
Why a school girl need to be dressed in mini skirts as uniform? Is there a valid reason for it? What is the reason? To look sexy, prettier? I mean that is what it is called Uniforms, not party clothes. Mini skirts should be left for social activities if the girl wants to of course, but not in the place when you are getting your education. Are you going to school to draw attention from people or you are going to study? Im not saying you have to wear clothes like a nun of course not, but I dont see a valid excuse to wear a mini skirt in school or in high school. And why a male should wear a mini skirt? I mean he is a boy not a girl and the students are in high school not in college where you can wear whatever you want.
No. School is about learning, not giving a fashion show. Kids need to worry less about what they wear and more about learning what they need to learn. Even having a debate about dress codes is a distraction from learning. Part of that learning is that students need to learn to obey the rules instead of fighting them. There are times in the workplace you will not agree with the rules but that does not mean you get to debate the rules. Either follow the rules or leave the workplace. When it comes to schools, students need to realize they do not have very many rights until they turn 18 so until they turn 18 just suck it up buttercup because every generation before you had the same rules to follow. The U. S. Supreme Court has ruled on student rights and lack of in the past. Schools should just issue uniforms. That would end all debate and issues.
No one is against the rules. As long as they make sense.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 Many workplaces have rules that do not make sense, yet you either deal with it or leave. One should never expect an organization to change just for them. Instead, one should find an organization they fit in with.
IIf we think like that we never evolve. I understand when there are dressing codes in certain jobs. But we are talking about school. Not a court house. We are talking about teens. Not adults.
When I was at (quite a posh) school, the uniform for girls included either a skirt or trousers, and the rule was that skirts had to reach the fingertips. I think that's still pretty standard now, so the one pictured would be a couple of inches too short. Of course, all the girls used to roll up the waistband to make them shorter...
That seemed like a decent balance to me - allowing the girls some freedom to dress the way they want, while not giving the impression that the school was educating girls in the noble arts of stripping / lap-dancing.
I generally don't care either way so long as the rule is IDENTICAL between genders.
Like, in every school I grew up in, guys' dress codes were more restrictive than girls'.
For girls, skirts or shorts had to reach the tips of your fingers with your arms stretched. For guys, shorts had to cover the knees while sitting.
For girls, sleeveless shirts had to not show the belly and straps had to be one finger wide. For guys, sleeveless shirts were off-limits except for gym.
Girls were going to the office for breaking these rules much more often than guys. Not because the rules were biased against girls, but because girls had options and chose to wear clothing that broke these rules.
SO all that being said, I do personally think the miniskirt restriction makes some sense if you have open desks like most schools do.
No, it shouldn't be allowed. You're in a learning environment. The mini skirt is simply inappropriate and ultimately unpractical. You may think that girl in the photo wearing the mini skirt looks cute, but actually start living in a country like Korea and Japan, and they are ALWAYS cold. Not to mention, it's an entire fetish. Do you wanna see the figurines they sell in Japan? Underaged anime girls with mini skirts showing off their underwear. Or the most popular porn in Asia? Underaged girls in school uniforms like that one.
Sure, men should learn how to be respectful and control themselves, but we live in a society, and at the end of the day, we ultimately live with very sick people, and simply learning to be respectful doesn't cure pedophilia.
If you are so dead passionate about wearing one though, I would do it on your own time, and of course, with the bare minimum of shorts underneath.
It's a school, not a strip club where guys get to see hot legs of every living thing that's female.
Go naked on streets but school is a place for children to learn. Are your legs burning from heat that you need to wear mini skirts? Then don't wear anything. Problem solved.
Already this porn and hookup culture is pain in the ass at least spare educational institutions and underage people from this.
Nope.
Miniskirts and short shorts (and anything else not reaching the second knuckle) were banned for everyone in my high school and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be. Looking cute or sexually attractive shouldn't be anywhere close to the top of your priorities at that age.
Everyone wants to look good. Literally everyone at all ages. If sleeveless shirts for boys and short skirts for girls cause distraction, let's teach kids that they should be able to focus and let others dress anyway they want.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 "They" can want to grow wings and fly for all I care; it is far more important that they build a foundation for education, and learn to understand that there are standards and barriers that they have to adhere to when not on their own turf. As a public institution, schools can and should enforce a standardized dress code up to and including uniforms if they so choose. Promoting or even allowing students, who are universally either minors or not yet functioning adults to sexualize themselves is completely unacceptable.
But they are not sexualizing themselves. Are they going in a bikini? Or it a bdsm leather suit? No. It's just a mini skirt- Would you object to boys using sleveless shirts?
Kids have to learn that yes people of the opposite gender are attractive, but you need to act like a proper human being and not an animal who can't control him or herlself.
I can see both sides of this debate. Many women on her all saying well miniskirts are just “cute” and not suggestive.
However I know how boys think and I firmly recall what was going through my head as a teenager. What looks “cute” is not as innocent as you think. I had one ex girlfriend who was in her early 20s surprise me one time dressed up in a miniskirt school girl uniform. I won’t go into details on how I reacted to it (OP is a minor) but let’s just say she didn’t lack any attention from me that day.
If it was an all girls school that’s one thing. But in a coed environment it’s another. Also just seriously ask guys what does and does not turn them on without judging them. Get the truth and you might see why this isn’t a good idea.
Meant to say QA is a minor. Careful about what I say when they ask questions.
Our boys need to be able to control themselves in prol of something as important as learning. What generation will we make if we tell our boys that they should behave like animals? If we take away all their responsabilities because "they can't control themselves?"? Are we giving us guys that little credit?
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 the last I checked nobody is telling boys to act “like animals.” If anything feminist educators are brainwashing young boys by demonizing masculinity all they can.
Now being masculine doesn’t mean being a creep or acting as you put it “an animal”. But it’s not feeling ashamed for feeling impulses either.
Boys already have enough distractions (including online porn) why should we add even more issues?
One thing is to be ashamed of impulses. I don't think anyone should, they are normal. But they should be ashamed to act on them. To let them control their judgement. This is important to be done as soon as possible.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 yes i agree. But putting more temptation in front of young boys eyes never helps anything.
I guess in the grand scheme of things a miniskirt seems a minor issue compared to what boys are exposed to elsewhere (online porn). But I still remember the neighborhood girl i lost my V card too. She dressed that way and she pursued me first. She came over my house several times with her friend.
I made that decision (which i regretted back then). But still why add more temptation?
The issue is that if we don't learn to fight our urges, what we will be in the future?
Boys and girls need to know that yes there are very appealing members of the opposite gender. That's the world. They need to be able to live their lives side by side without losing their minds over them.
I never was in a school with a strict dressing code. Some girls had very generous cleavages, yes I still remember, but that never stopped me from being a very good student.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 I was a good kid overall. Good student and a year around athlete. But I occasionally made bad decisions.
But let’s use common sense. Teenagers having surging hormones which has been given to them by Mother Nature to procreate. That doesn’t mean we act like animals but those impulses are there and they are very strong. You can’t “train” impulses not to happen. You have to manage them. But why create more temptation?
Half the teen boys will be checking these girls out and other half will be lying that they aren’t (straight ones as least). Some of them do God knows what after school with no parental supervision. Not good. But at least while they are IN school they shouldn’t have added distractions from the learning program.
I agree that impulses always happen. But most schools, at least public, don't have a dressing code and everything works out fine. Mini skirts, tops, small shorts don't prevent boys from getting good grades and behaving rationally.
Sure there are bad decisions, but overall they are dealing with it just fine. Why take that agency away? In my opinion it only promotes a better foundation.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 there is always going to be someone with an idea. It can be the young girl who likes attention (possibly wants more) and the young boy who gets a bad idea.
I guess you can argue that dress codes might have a reverse psychology effect. Kids want to rebel more when given the opportunity. But still I know how my brain operated at times back then. I can remember a cute girl on the track team who wore short shorts. When we were stretching i admit my eyes wondered a few times were they shoudn’t. At least that was after school and outdoors.
But what if a kid is trying to focus on algebra and the girl in front of him is wearing a miniskirt. She bends over to pick up something or who knows. It doesn’t mean he will do anything. But that doesn’t exactly help the learning process either.
We can't put rules on all because if the actions of a few. Otherwise men as a collective would be fucked.
You looked at her and I promise girls looked at the boys too. So what? It's natural, it's healthy and even if occasionally distracting isn't that big of a problem.
Doesn't help the learning process, but it shouldn't make his mind busy more than 5 min. He is in a classroom. He needs to focus. This is an example of a moment where he needs to be able to control himself. Otherwise when will he learn it?
But anyway we can agree to disagree.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 fair enough
I don’t see a problem with miniskirts in high school. I wore them when I was in high school. Part of our cheer uniforms were miniskirts, so I don’t see a reason why we and all the other girls shouldn’t be allowed to wear them to class.
But I went to school they were allowed and lots of girls worm but it is a whole different type of generation we respected each other and we didn't play the game since the boys play nowadays are we weren't as rude as they are nowadays I don't think they should be allowed now just because of all the reasons of above
I'd say no. Because with it, you should expect to be stared at by all the boys. It's like waving food in front of a dog and then eating it and walking away. You wouldn't do that to your dog because it's considered rude and your parents would rightfully scold you. I consider it the same thing here. Just don't do it
Also boys who wear mini skirts would just be bullied and picked on or laughed at. So why do it?
They've been a traditional part of dress codes for schools for generations. Why is it a problem now? I DO have some hunch. I think some may have chosen to "let it all air out" and this caused a change. But I think you could just hand out 1-2 detentions and if it persists then expel such people and not ruin it for everyone else.
Do you understand why they are not allowed... because often young girls don't understand.
Once you understand, you can consider the impact upon other people and whether it is a good idea. Otherwise, it is being selfish.
If we had a society of very well trained people who were considerate of others, we wouldn't need the rules and it would be ok, within limits.
The crazy thing is that just from only seeing the legs in the cover photo on the GaG front page, I knew right away that it was an Asian girl lol.
But should miniskirts be allowed in highschool? I might be inclined to say no, because it is a little too sexy, but not entirely sure.
No what would it change. School isn´t not a show room for your body. There will never be a time where boys won´t lose their head over girls the moment girls show more skin than usual.
(Besides that I doubt you wanna see that time because that moment will be the moment boys will lose their interest in girls alltogether)
I don´t see a benefit in that treatment.
Miniskirts should be allowed, but it's reasonable to have limits defined in a dress code. For example, the hemline cannot be more than X inches or centimeters above the knee.
When my kids were in high school, the dress code had limits for girls' miniskirts, shorts and tops, as well as for boys' shorts and shirts. That's totally reasonable and almost all the parents supported the dress code.
I think 14 year old girls
Should focus on their studies
Not on their clothes
Now, if someone tells you that as a girl
You are not allowed by balance a chemical equation
Or calculate the area of a circle
Then I would definitely be upset
Mini skirt ain't sexual in my opinion. It can look very cute. Wear safety pants. As long as girls wear safety pants it is ok. I also dont understand why dress codes are mostly focused on girls. Men's beard, adam apple, abs etc secondary sexual traits but i dont understand why guys are allowed to show their their secondary sexual traits and how slutty is that? When i was at Highschool i remember how guys wear tank tops to show off their abs. It was so cringe
I swear go wear burkhas to protest
I think as long as the dress codes ain't unfair and is equal
humans should have a right to freedom over their own body and choice to wear what we want, why should some guy in a suit called mister politician decide what we wear? fuck him , wear what u like, and if someone doesn't like it,. they can go fuck theirself because i can wear what i like ok?
Your priority in high school is to learn, not engage in fashion statements. If you want to wear miniskirts, do it on your own time. And before you open your trap, just keep in mind boys aren't allowed to wear tight fitting pants that show off their dick and balls. And boys wearing miniskirts are gay. The more you know.
Only reason a girl would wear a mini skirt to school would be for good grades when she sits in the front row for the teacher.
For this kinda crap you get 52% MHO?
@EnglishEuropean I get it for telling the truth. You don't think they are wearing them to tease?
I never said that.
No, I don’t think school is an appropriate place for mini skirts.
Yes, many schools allow them.
Even short shorts should be allowed.
It’s all ridiculous slut shaming. To protest I suggest you get as many girls as possible to dress as masculine as possible. Jeans, overly large T-shirts, sneakers, keys hanging out, That must be what they want.
Where I live they are allowed just like hot pants and most other clothing items are and it's never been much of a problem. A girl I went to school with went to america for a year as an exchange student back then and she showed us the dress code of her new school and was furious about it. American schools seem to have such ridiculously strict dress codes for no reason whatsoever
Well perhaps they have fewer girls in high school getting pregnant too. How about that?
No but it turns guys on who then want to get together with the girl for sex and that is what gets them pregnant.
To me that is not a mini skirt. When I was in school so many years ago skirts could be thigh high. But they could not be real mini skirts.

Love them in the 60 couldn't walk around without a hard cock
trying to get out
If you ever watched Brady Bunch in the 70's they all wore short skirts.
@Daniela1982 very true
Just make em all wear jumpsuits. You're there to learn not to ogle or be ogled.
my cock wants to say yes but my brain says no. its too sexual for school and im going to be trying to catcha glance of pussy all day.
the body shouldn't be on display at schools because people HAVE to be there and its not fair to men who are biologically driven to visuals more than women are. how am i supposed to do math with an erection huh?
Exactly. Also I am disappointed by how grown women below are reacting to this just saying it’s “cute” and innocent. Especially the older ones.
You and I know how boys think and they should take our word for it. The vast majority of boys got one thing and one thing only going through their head 95% of the time 24/7 thanks to hormones. Teen girls like the attention but are usually naive about what it could lead to. But you and I know what the end game can be.
Also be careful about the details you write about bro. QA is only 14. I’ve sure she’s read and seen worse but let’s not be part of that.
Are you incapable of paying attention to math if an attractive girl is next to you? Your problem. You are the one who needs to grow up.
Otherwise we are teaching our sons that they are helpless to girls bodies and one day they will be manipulated by them.
@globetrotter22 if you believe this "Teen girls like the attention but are usually naive about what it could lead to. " you are the naive one. They know very well.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 of course teen boys need to control themselves. But let’s be honest. I remember how strong the hormones were pulsing back then.
@globetrotter22 So do I. And? I looked a lot at girls, didn't stopped me from getting good grades.
@globetrotter22 you need to be able to control youself in prol of something a simportant as learning. What generation will we make if we tell our boys that they should behave like animals? If we take away all their responsabilities because "they can't control themselves?"? Are we giving us guys that little credit?
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 having tripped and fallen into sex and even group sex as a teenager. i can say with certainty that no. women do not know what it leads to at all times. many girls are 100% clueless
I believe those girls might have been clueless. But specially today, girls very much know about sex. Many early than boys do.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 blaming men for their biology is sexist. you're probably just a perv who wants to look at girl s
Men are more than just their sexual desires. We have free will.
Do you know those women who say men can't help themselves? That we just think with our dick?
I refuse to tell them they are right! We are functional humans too.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 humans are meat computers. they have no free will
Yes we do. The simple fa t that we can consider if we have free will or not proves we are complex enough to have it.
If we don't than what? We just excuse every crime? There is no free will so nothing is anyone's fault.
Most schools, specially public schools, don't have dressing code. And that doesn't stop boys from having excellent grades. We are not brainless morons who just think with our dick's.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 complexity has nothing to do with free will. you have none
the brain makes decisions 10 seconds before you are aware of it. you don't know whatyou will do before you start doing it. you just inhabit you
That sentence in on itself is impossible. We do the first thought that comes to our minds immediately.
But tell me should we pardon every criminal then?
It’s not allowed because you kids need to learn some modesty and values. Your girls don’t need to be putting your sexual bait out in front of everyone 14 yr old boys already got it bad enough with out all that mess
It’s not sexual or anything but I would honestly feel uncomfortable because what if I have to bend down to grab my bag or something? My behind would be showing 😭 I’d be more worried about comfort. Anyways, I’m not in hs anymore but this is my take on it.
Hell no mini skirts should not be banned in high school. If they had been when I was I. HS I woulda been going to school everyday I. Just a thong or maybe a dress
I completely agree I would not go to school if it wasn’t for those mini skirts and it’s also the reason I wanted to be a teacher
You’re probably one of those boys who kept looking up my skirt and making bets on what kind/colour if any panties I was wearing that day
Maybe! And I’m guessing your one of those girl who would whisper it to me if I asked her
Our school allowed them if they wore those matching shorts under. Same as like a cheerleader would wear in fact thats wear it came from. Rumors was of a girl came to school in a mini skirt and nothing under it. No one ever could confirm this!
That looks about standard for a school in the UK.
Depends how many times they fold top of skirt over.
It varies between schools, each local education authority decides the rules.
Some have kilts similar to above, some longer
I'm fine with them as long as they're tasteful.
Tasteful means that they're not showing your parts that shouldn't be shown in public.
Where I teach it is allowed and I'm fine with it.
I don't think we should tell girls (and guys) how to dress
Nope. I’m all against sexualizing kids but also there’s some things that aren’t appropriate. Like a 15 year old girl shouldn’t wear lingerie with jeans to school, mini skirts aren’t ok either.
I don't get it why its not allowed in some school. If they think becs girls wear short dress thats why they get raped, then I would strongly say that its wrong, women's, girls get raped because of the men mentality not because of there cloths. A man who won't rape won't rape even if he finds a girl naked and if a man will rape he will even if the girl is fully covering her body. So we should STOP men's/children's not girls.
I think you should be allowed to wear whatever you like as long as you don’t look like a porn star coming to school and if a guy wants to then why not, let him. It’s 2022, fashion should be a personal choice
I'm not sure I've come across a school where they ban skirts like the one in your photo.
Most girls wear bike shorts or something under the skirt anyway to keep a bit more modest.
I guess only girls that always wore long skirts at my school where those that had religious reason and one girl who apparently had bad eczema and those reasons are fair enough.
Yes, School should allow us to wear it..
it looks so cute..
what do u mean by that?/
As long as they wear shorts underneath. I always wore shorts underneath mine and you could only tell if you were being nosey looking underneath em
Yes. 100% they should. Also how would high schools have cheerleading without mini skirts?
I think if a girl is confident wearing a mini then she should be allowed too,
Depends where you are from?
Japan and most other Eastern countries have a standardised uniform.
Sure long as you wear shorts under, it's not a boys have control problem, it's a if you bend over slightly, your panties are showing to the entire school problem
50/50 Depends, If the student is going to wear a mini, just wear shorts underneath it :D So if someone tries to upskirt you they won't see the panies.
The last boy that wore a skirt went in the girl’s bathroom and raped a girl.
That’s the last thing we need is it easier for boys and girls to have sex and flash their genitals.
If a school has faith in its own teaching quality I see no reason to expect behavioral difficulties.
Where: in areas where you only find riffraff folks, I'd just close schools and save tax money.
I wore them in hs, but tbh, I don’t think we should be allowed to. 🤪
They were allowed at my school as long as it passes your finger tips
Boys must get used to this style of clothing too. I would allow it.
I don't know why buys would be wearing mini skirts,
They reveal too much, if watching anime has made me realize something it's that how revealing short clothes are, the school has a good reason for not allowing this and I agree with the school
I think that schools should stop sexualizing student's bodies.
Really the problem is the people. But anyways, sure. As long as they have some small pants thing under. Like, imagine walking around with nothing but underwear and a morphed mop being the only thing covering that.
sure, why not.
Back when I was in school they made the girls kneel on the floor and the hem of their skirt had to touch the floor.
Sure... nothing wrong with miniskirts... now, skin tight leggings... watch out !
Miniskirts should be mandatory and panties should be banned.
Winter could be a bit fun
